There’s a strange, unprecedented case in Detroit where three rappers all went missing on the same night while attending the same event together. On January 21, 2023, 31-year-old Montoya Givens, Dante Wicker (also 31-years-old), and 28-year-old Armani Kelly—three friends who met while serving time—were setting off to perform a show at a club.

Kelly had picked up Givens and Wicker but they found that the show was canceled. At this point, authorities have nothing to work with as anything could’ve happened in that time. On January 22, all three men’s phones stopped showing activity.
That day, Kelly’s mother Lorrie Kemp reported him missing and took it upon herself to find her car. On January 23, the car was found covered in mud and without the license plate. The three men were nowhere to be found.
Kelly’s fiancée Taylor Perrin said that the two of them were planning for the future when he went missing. He was doing time for armed robbery when he met Givens and Wicker. Once out, he began focusing on work and music along with his friends.
Both his fiancée and his mother are seeking help and want some closure as to what happened to them on January 21. Perrin pleaded for help in the case in an interview with the Detroit News.
“We were so close to be able to start our life and somebody just took it all away. I just beg for help, for anything. I need answers and, if it comes to it, I need closure, because I will never forget and I will never stop.”
