There are certain t-shirt designs in professional wrestling that are simply iconic. From the N.W.O shirt, to Austin 3-16, and to a more modern example of Bullet Club shirts – some shirts simply stand out.
However, one of the best of all time belongs to Mick Foley. During his days as Cactus Jack, Foley would have a T-Shirt design featuring a Wanted Dead poster.
It’s a simple design, and often imitated – with Foley wanting former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker to put her own spin on it.
Mick Foley Has Given Britt Baker The Okay Make A Wanted Shirt
While speaking on Foley Is Pod – Mick Foley would say that he is encouraging Britt Baker to use the iconic “Wanted” design for a T-Shirt of her own. Foley also was okay when The Briscoes made their own variant of the shirt.
“I even gave Baker – I said, you know, Britt, you ought to see if they could do a…,’ somebody was wearing a Cactus Jack ‘Wanted’ shirt, I said those are Pittsburgh Steeler colors. I said, ‘You ought to see if they could modify that and make it a shirt for you.’ She goes, ‘Would you mind?’ I said, ‘No, I’ve been making money off that and been happy to see people wearing it for literally 28 years now.’ So when The Briscoes had their ‘Wanted’ shirt, that’s cool by me, I’m doing fine. I’d much rather The Briscoes have their own ‘Wanted’ shirt than to have a bootleg ‘Wanted’ shirt out there. But I see it as a tribute, I see it as a good thing. Nobody copies or borrows from something that’s not good. So I’m all for Doctor Baker rocking a Cactus-esque t-shirt. Make it happen, TK. You know you can make it happen.”
It would be hard to deny this shirt would be a success for AEW. Baker remains one of the most popular members of their roster, and the design being endorsed by Foley himself would only help to drive sales.
