Many times now, we’ve talked about how dominant of a champion Orange Cassidy has been. Since winning the AEW International Championship, he’s made a staggering 23 defences.
At Double or Nothing 2023, he even defended against 20 men in a Blackjack Battle Royale – with Swerve Stickland being the last man standing against Cassidy.
After defeating Big Bill & Trent Beretta last week in a triple threat match, Swerve is ready for his one on one shot against Cassidy. This reign has broken Cassidy down to a high degree – and tonight could finally be his breaking point.

Swerve remained on the offensive and looked for the House Call kick – with Cassidy avoiding before the jumping Flatliner caused a double down. Cassidy got a two count off a backslide, before a swinging DDT for another near fall.
Heading to the apron, Cassidy would make a mistake – and was hit with a Death Valley Driver onto the apron. A series of superkicks would set up Swerve on the steel steps, with Cassidy rushing forward for a DDT to the floor.
