MJF would drive a wedge between Adam Cole & Roderick Strong last week, when he ripped into Strong on live TV – leaving Cole speechless. Cole is starting to once again see the true side of his new best friend, and MJF has recognized this.
Tonight we will hear from Cole & MJF ahead of their busy day at AEW All In, where they not only will face each other in the main event with MJF’s AEW World Heavyweight Championship on the line – but team on Zero Hour to challenge for the ROH World Tag Team Championships.
MJF Tells His Story About Why All In Is Important To Him
Prior to this, MJF & Cole would go to Outback Steakhouse to ‘scout Aussie Open’, and hit a Double Clothesline backstage before dealing into an irate Tony Khan for their actions.
MJF said Khan will regret that in 2024 when it’s contract season. Hitting the ring to a big reaction, MJF & Cole were ready to address All In.
Cole would say that fans better get into their seats early, because they’re going to use the Double Clothesline to beat Aussie Open.
Later that night, MJF will defend this AEW World Heavyweight Championship against Cole – which is the biggest night of his career. He thought his career was over after Forbidden Door 2022, and now he’s in the biggest main event in AEW history.
This is a chance for him to cement his legacy as one of the best wrestlers of his generation, and that requires beating MJF at All In. MJF would reveal that when he started training, he had two dream matches – Cody Rhodes & Adam Cole. When he heard about All In, MJF got involved by DMing Rhodes to get on the card.
That night, MJF would get his foot in the door, and while he lost that night in the opening match – he got the attention of Tony Khan, and got a contract for the newly formed AEW.
Without All In, there is no MJF – and now in 2023, he’s a generational talent and will be in the main event of All In, as the AEW World Heavyweight Champion.
MJF gets one of his dream matches in front of one of the biggest crowds in wrestling, with his best friend. However what matters is the championship, and he will leave London with that belt. A win in Wembley makes a legend, and that is what MJF needs.
The Best Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch In AEW History
Recently, Jeff Jarrett has been put into a feud with The Hardys – even since he was put together with Matt Hardy for the Blind Draw Tag Team Tournament.
That issue has quickly ballooned, and when The Hardys stopped Karen Jarrett & Sonjay Dutt from getting involved with a trios match against The Elite – it hit a new level.
Now, Jarrett will bring some good ol’ fashioned violence as AEW collaborates with Texas Chainsaw Massacre for the first ever Texas Chainsaw Massacre Deathmatch in AEW history.
The only way to win is by pinfall, and Hardy would come ready for violence – wearing face paint and looking for some weapons from the back.
Jarrett got aid from Satnam Singh, but Isiah Kassidy & Ethan Page would make the save. Fake blood was poured over Jeff & Karen Jarrett, and Matt Hardy was here to help.
Singh was bound up backstage, and Hardy was stalking Jarrett with a lead pipe. Jay Lethal would make the save, before opening the doors to let Sonjay Dutt into the arena with a stick. The brawl would reach the stage, and Jarrett was dragged to the ring by Hardy.
There was smoke coming from under the ring, but Hardy ignored it as he beat Jarrett with a kendo stick. Jarrett was set up on a table for the Swanton Bomb, only for Lethal to break the pinfall up.
Hardy would bash the guitar off the head of Jarrett, before Leatherface would hit the ring with chainsaw in hand. This was a distraction, allowing Singh to hit the ring for a chokeslam for the win – with Lethal setting this up with a hammer to the head. Jarrett was just placed onto Hardy for the pinfall.
