There is just one more open spot in the Fatal Four Way match for the AEW Women’s World Championship, with champion Hikaru Shida and challengers Toni Storm & Saraya already confirming their spots.
Tonight, Britt Baker will face The Bunny with that final spot on the line. While Baker is the favorite to win, Bunny is hungry for a title shot – and is one of the more dangerous women on the roster. She’s not scared to get violent, which can also be said about Baker.
Britt Baker Shuts Down One Of AEW’s Final Girls
With Final Girls tag team partner Penelope Ford in her corner, Bunny would hit the ring and traded forearm smashes with Baker.
A running knee lift would take Baker down, but Bunny was unable to follow up before taking a big forearm smash and running neckbreaker. Bunny regained control and looked for Down The Rabbit Hole – but was countered.
Baker was taken to the corner for a hanging choke. While the referee would speak with Bunny, Ford would get some hits in – and would lick the face of Baker.
Baker would be thrown to the floor and stomped, before being thrown face first into the floor. Back in the ring, Baker would gain an opening by hitting the Reverse STO into the corner.
Slingblade would set up the Butterfly Suplex, getting a near fall. Lockjaw was signalled, but Ford stole the glove. Switching to Plan B, Baker would hit the Curb Stomp – and has her ticket booked for All In.
The Acclaimed Are Ambushed By House Of Black
The Acclaimed is looking to get back to the top of AEW, and even without Billy Gunn in their corner after his retirement – they are ready to succeed. They would hit the ring for a match with a set of local names, but the lights would go out as they finished their entrance.
Their opponents were replaced by the House of Black – and the fight was on. Matthews & King would take down Caster & Bowens with ease, while Julia Hart & Malakai Black simply watched.
A chain wrapped punch to Caster took him down, before Bowens took Dante’s Inferno. Caster was left bloody, and would try to crawl to Bowens before taking a Visionary Curb Stomp from Matthews.
Hart grabbed the boots of Gunn, and House of Black had their trophy. The Acclaimed were unable to start their match, and after House Of Black put Gunn into retirement – they’re still not satisfied.
The Young Bucks Waste No Time Getting Even With Bullet Club Gold
The battle for the title of ‘Best Brother Tag Team in AEW‘ continues. Earlier this year, The Gunns defeated The Hardys. Now, The Young Bucks have also defeated The Hardys.
This means that the logical next step is The Gunns taking on The Young Bucks. Adding to this is that The Gunns are now part of Jay White’s Bullet Club Gold – who claim to be ‘the most elite subgroup in the history of Bullet Club’. This was a direct shot at The Elite, and it only takes one shot to start a war.
Not wasting any time, The Bucks attacked The Gunns with a double superkick. After Bullet Club Gold beat down Omega in the pre-taped interview, this match became personal.
he brawl would reach the ring, and The Bucks would hit a double dropkick to send The Gunns to the floor. Matt Jackson provided the screen as Nick Jackson prepared for and nailed the dive onto Austin & Colton.
Back in the ring, Matt was tripped by Austin – allowing Colton to hit a Superman Punch to the neck. Matt was taken to the floor and beat down by The Gunns, and was kept in their corner of the ring.
It was Tag Team Wrestling 101, a course The Gunns have passed with flying colours. The ring was cut clean in half, and Nick was getting desperate for a tag to save his brother.
FTR Make Post Match Save
Matt would be thrown into a dropkick from Colton, getting a two count. Nick would finally get the tag and sent Colton to the floor with a headscissor takedown.
Austin took a superkick, and Colton a PK. Nick would hit the X-Factor on Austin, and glided through the ropes for a moonsault on Colton.
Austin was isolated now, and The Young Bucks would try for the BTE Trigger – with Colton making the save using a running double lariat.
Colton would get the tag and hit 310 To Yuma on Matt – but Nick broke the pinfall with a diving double stomp. The Gunns tried to steal the win with a roll up, as Austin would get help from Colton with leverage.
Instead, Colton took a superkick – and Matt would roll up Austin for the win. After the bell, Jay White & Juice Robinson would attack – trapping the arm of Matt in a steel chair.
Evening the odds was FTR, who wanted to ensure that Young Bucks make it to Wembley… but teased a Shatter Machine once the coast was clear.
