The Hardys have settled into their role as a veteran tag team in AEW, and tonight – test a newer team to the company.

Fans of ROH know just how capable The Righteous are, and after eliminating The Hardys in a tag team battle royale – Vicent & Dutch set the stage for a tag team match with the legends. That comes tonight, as they look to truly introduce themselves to AEW fans with the biggest win of their career.

    The Righteous Upset The Harys

Matt would start with Vincent, looking to hit the Side Effect early – but being countered. Vincent would hit a series of punches on Matt, before looking for Sliced Bread in the corner.

Matt would block, and smash Vincent face first into the turnbuckles. Jeff got the tag, and Dutch tried to rush for the save – but was sent to the floor.

Vincent took a jawbreaker and Side Effect – allowing for a two count. Dutch would get a tag and hit a Black Hole Slam on Matt for a near fall.

Vincent would keep the pressure on, before Dutch applied a rear chinlock. Matt would break free, only to be beaten back down to the mat with a clubbing blow.

Vincent would hit a low flatliner for the near fall – before mocking Jeff on the apron, asking why he’s not helping his brother. He’d wander into a Side Effect from Matt – and Jeff would get the tag.

A series of lariats before a twisting kick took Vincent out, before Dutch took the Inverted Atomic Drop and leg drop. Twist Of Hate on Vincent wouldn’t get a pinfall, as Dutch was waiting.

Matt would hit another Side Effect, setting up the Swanton Bomb from Jeff. Dutch would stop Jeff from diving, and assist Vincent in a cutter on Jeff for the victory.

He just pinned one of the greatest of all time, and alongside Dutch just shot their way up the tag team ranks. Vincent would ensure everyone knew it, stating it after getting a microphone.

AEW fans are prisoners to fake icons, fooled by the con-man. They’re listening to the Devil on their shoulder. The Righteous has a truth to share, and have their sights set on MJF & Adam Cole.

Britt Baker Has Crowd Firmly On Her Side

There is no room for doubt left with Kris Statlander as TBS Champion. Yesterday on AEW Rampage, she defeated Jade Cargill, who entered the match at 100%. This ensured there is no one left to dispute the way Statlander won the belt back at Double or Nothing – but also makes the belt a higher value target.

Tonight, former AEW Women’s World Champion Britt Baker is looking to claim the belt for her own – and it’s up to Statlander to put the good doctor down.

Statlander would hit a shoulder tackle as the match began, and soaked in the boo’s from the pro-Baker crowd. A big body slam would follow, showing her strength advantage over the challenger.

Statlander would trade blows with Baker in the middle of the ring, before taking a running neckbreaker. Slingblade would be blocked, and Statlander hit a snap powerslam before a stalling suplex for a two count.

Continuing to keep the pressure on, Statlander would hit a backbreaker before a Head & Arm Clutch. Statlander would release Baker, before looking for a dive off the top rope – but being stopped.

Baker would be shoved to the floor, but dodged the moonsault from Statlander. Using the ring post as a weapon, Baker pulled Statlander into position and slammed the knees of the champion hard into steel.

Kris Statlander Has The Brain Of A Champion

Back in the ring, Statlander would absorb a set of slingblades – before hitting a Fisherman Driver for the two count. Baker would trip Statlander and hit the Curb Stomp – before calling for the Lockjaw.

She’d set the hold up, but failed to get the hand in the champions mouth. Statlander would trade blows with Baker, before taking a superkick and coming back with a lariat.

Statlander would block the Pittsburgh Sunrise out of the corner, but was unable to hit Saturday Night Fever. Baker got the roll up for two, before the Canadian Destroyer and Angels Wings.

Curb Stomp followed, but Statlander kicked out. Another Pittsburgh Sunrise attempt was blocked, and Statlander lifted Baker into the Electric Chair position.

Baker would apply the Lockjaw as a counter – and got Statlander to the mat. Statlander shifted into a pinfall, and saved her championship with her smart thinking. She was seconds from defeat, and Julia Hart was watching from the stands – potentially wanting the next shot.
