AEW Dynamite is on tonight and you can expect the same coverage as always. Below you’ll see the results from the show as they come plus links to in-depth recaps.
Segment 1: In the first match of the night, we had Cody Rhodes taking on Darby Allin in a TNT Championship Tournament Semi Final. They had another classic match, a great chapter in their ongoing saga. This time Darby came closer than ever to getting that victory. He stole Cody’s Cross-Rhodes early in the match for a nearfall and kicked out of Cody’s own version later. Cody tried to steal the Coffin Drop in kind, Darby got the knees up and hit the real one! But as he covered him Cody subtly transitioned into a backslide and Darby didn’t even realize he was being pinned. Cody got the win and advanced to the finals.
Segment 2: Part 2 of the Scorpio Sky story touches on what it was like for him in the early days of SCU and he explains how he wants to be a legend in AEW. MJF gives us an injury update. He explains that he made a miraculous recovery from his hangnail, but while he was trying to get TV-ready, the unthinkable happened: he cut himself shaving. He is now in a neck brace and thus still on the shelf. Wardlow quickly defeats Musa.
Segment 3: The Best Friends, Trent and Chuck Taylor took on Jimmy Havoc and Kip Sabian in a No DQ tag team match. It was pretty much wild from start to finish, with a lot of use being found in a single ladder and maybe three steel chairs being used over and over in various brutal ways. Chuckie T got the win with a crazy Charging Inverted Sit-Out Tombstone Piledriver onto a pile of chairs!
Segment 4: We get another Britt Baker Role Model segment, largely a vehicle to repeatedly attack Tony Schiavone. Shawn Spears defeated Baron Black.
Segment 5: Brodie Lee absolutely dismantled Marko Stunt in an incredible squash. Jon Moxley gives us an inspiring message.
Segment 6: In the main event, Lance Archer took on Dustin Rhodes in the second TNT Championship Semi-Final match. Dustin got busted open early on and was bleeding profusely for the majority of the match. Archer got the victory and locked eyes with Cody as he covered his brother.
