I swear that the production for the MLW vs. AAA Super Series has been varied for MLW Fusion. I’m guessing the venue in Tijuana has its own filming crew like Korakuen Hall does or something because these last few MLW Fusion episodes have looked five years dated or something. Major League Wrestling looks to have a better card for this episode.
MLW Fusion #107
No DQ – IWA Puerto Rico Caribbean Title: Richard Holliday [c] vs. Chessman
Hart Foundation vs. Los Mercenarios
Two matches, expect a ton of promos if you’re watching this one. Let’s dive on in.
No DQ – IWA Puerto Rico Caribbean Title: Richard Holliday “[c]” vs. Chessman
First off, Richard Holliday isn’t the official champion. Actually, Savio wasn’t even the recognized champion and never held this title. However, Holliday is defending it like it’s his—as close to the Caribbean without being in the Caribbean as possible. In a way, it’s MLW’s European title.
After Holliday introduces himself to the crowd in broken Spanish, Chessman comes out. He’s a AAA lifer and is a favorite of mine. When he’s a rudo, he’s extremely good. Here he’s a technico and had a decent match with Richard Holliday. After missing a corkscrew moonsault, Chessman falls to the Market Crash gutwrench powerbomb.

Promo Time!
After the match, Ol’ Mancer is backstage with Alicia and apologizes for ruining her birthday cake. He talks about taking Alexander Hammerstone’s National Openweight title. Since he messed up her cake, he offered her a light beer or two—which she took. Alicia said that the best gift Mance gave her was getting MJF out of Major League Wrestling.
There’s a medical update on Douglas James after getting popped by a fairly vicious forearm from Averno. Apparently, Averno popped him so hard that his brain started bleeding and he’ll be out for six months unless he’s cleared.
We’re supposed to get a new L.A Park en la cocina, pendejos next episode. This time it was Pillow Talk with L.A Park. This wasn’t as good as the legend and his son cooking but it was pretty funny as L.A Park was being…L.A Park and his wife were trying to wish him good night.
The main take away is that if you’re single and looking, find yourself someone who calls you “My Destroyer.” We’re also supposed to get a press conference with Team Filthy. There’s also more Pagano who reminds me of Vampiro.
Promo Time: Part Deux Directed by Major League Wrestling
We have another Alexander Hammerstone promo and he now has a handlebar mustache. Quarantine is a good time to cultivate yourself a beard, folks. He’s discussing Mance Warner wanting a shot at his belt and that he’ll remain champion.
Col. Robert Parker apparently got in trouble for promoting illegal wrestling shows on a sea barge during the quarantine. I’ll just leave that with no context. Von Erich promo. It was brief and about Team Filthy. Not much there. Major League Wrestling announcers have been pretty vocal about AAA’s referees and their shady counts. It looks as though MLW and AAA are looking into it.
Low Ki has grown his quarantine hair and is not pleased about King Mo and Team Filthy’s shenanigans. He said that he might have to make some calls to keep this party going.
Hart Foundation vs. Los Mercenarios
I figured we had more promos and vignettes to go but we’re getting Davey Boy Smith Jr and Brian Pillman Jr taking on Rey Escorpion Jr and Texano Jr now. Los Mercenarios is a pretty dope tandem. They get the job done as a team. The crowd wasn’t that into the match, maybe they were burned out by this time. As for the match itself, it was a solid bout.
Pretty slow pace for the first half as Pillman takes the brunt of the beating from Los Mercenarios. There was more shadiness from the referee in this match up. Davey Boy isn’t here for the shenanigans and keeps arguing with the referee, allowing for Pillman to get beat up more.
Once Davey Boy is finally tagged in, it’s over for Los Mercenarios. He pretty much runs through before setting Texano Jr up for his partner’s Air Pillman and the pin.

During the celebration, Contra Unit’s logo flashed, so expect a promo from Josef Samael. Smith and Pillman sign autographs while DBS’ epic music plays. Very babyface. The Contra Unit promo was pretty much the same one that has been run for weeks now.
Match of the Show: Hart Foundation vs. Los Mercenarios
While it was short, it had some build to it with a basic heel tag team dominating a babyface before the powerhouse airs out the ring. Nothing innovative, new, or “Wow!” worthy but it was simple and hard to mess up. It worked here.
