Moments After The Beginning Of The November 30, 2020 World Tag League 2020 Match Between Hirooki Goto And Yoshi-Hashi Against Bad Luck Fale And Chase Owens via New Japan Pro Wrestling

On November 30th, New Japan Pro Wrestling (NJPW) presented World Tag League 2020 (WTL 2020) from the legendary Korakuen Hall in Tokyo, Japan in front of 557 fans. COVID-19 (Coronavirus, 2019) safety restrictions were responsible for the reduced crowd size, yet the crowd was present during key parts of the night.

The second series match of the event saw CHAOS members and two-thirds of the NEVER Openweight 6-Man Tag Team Champions Hirooki Goto/Yoshi-Hashi take on Bullet Club members “Rogue General” Bad Luck Fale/”Crown Jewel” Chase Owens.

Coming into the match Goto/Yoshi-Hashi came off a victory against six-time IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and Bullet Club members Guerillas of Destiny (Tama Tonga/Tanga Loa) [GOD] on November 28th, while Fale/Owens defeated HenarAce (Hiroshi Tanahashi/Toa Henare) on the same night.

Goto/Yoshi-Hashi needed a victory to keep their WTL 2020 Finals hopes alive, while Fale/Owens would be eliminated with a loss. After their recent run of form, Fale/Owens gave the CHAOS team issues but couldn’t figure out how to put Yoshi-Hashi away.

However, Goto/Yoshi-Hashi were able to use their tag team skills to take over the match. After taking care of Fale, Goto and Yoshi-Hashi were able to hit Owens with their GYW technique, allowing Goto to gain the fall at the 8 minutes and 3 seconds mark.

The win moved the CHAOS team to (4-3) [8 points] while Fale/Owens dropped to (2-5) [4 points]. Goto/Yoshi-Hashi went on to face Bullet Club members Evil/Yujiro on December 4th, while Fale/Owens faced reigning IWGP Heavyweight Tag Team Champions and Suzuki-Gun members Dangerous Tekkers (Zack Sabre Jr/Taichi) on the same night.

The victory gives the surprising CHAOS team a chance to make a run towards the WTL 2020 Finals if they can manage to keep winning, while the Bullet Club team is all but eliminated despite putting on several quality performances, and may become a regular team within NJPW.
