Ever since aligning themselves with Eddie Dennis, The Hunt has become a top team. They’ve beaten the previous NXT UK Tag Team Champions, and their long time friends, then marched into the office of Sid Scalla to demand a title shot. Gallus will never turn down a fight, and tonight won’t be an exception. It’s been a while since they’ve defended their titles, but they’ve yet to lose a match since NXT UK restarted. Can Gallus boys come out on top again and remain champions?
The Hunt Aren’t Taking This Chance Lightly
Primate rushed in fast to take the fight to Wolfgang, and The Hunt instantly took the advantage. They had the ring cut in half a minute in, and quick tags kept Wolfgang vulnerable. However, he didn’t stay isolated long, being able to throw his weight around and break free and drive Wild Boar into the Gallus corner.
Mark Coffey nailed a big scoop slam and some hard strikes, and slowed the pace down. Wolfgang was tagged in and got a side headlock applied, forcing Wild Boar to fight to his feet, only to tag Coffey in and keep the beatdown going with forearm shots.
Eddie Dennis ran a distraction and let Wild Boar gain some ground, putting this match back in the corner of The Hunt. They’d get a double back body drop on Coffey, and Primate attacked on the mat. Headbutts to the spine and clubbing blows were followed with a body slam, before he just threw Wild Boar onto Coffey.
Wild Boar grabbed a rear chinlock, and just cranked back. He slipped outside, only to have Primate attack and send Coffey right back in. The Hunt are making the most of the first chance they’ve ever gotten at WWE gold.
Gallus Boys On Top
Coffey would have a comeback using his brute strength, taking Primate out of the ring and Wild Boar down. However, when he was just fingertips away from the tag, Primate pulled Wolfgang away. This only delayed the tag for a moment, as Wild Boar didn’t have control.
With Wolfgang back in, this match took a different pace, him getting moving and wiping Wild Boar out with a running back elbow. Primate was taken out with a hip toss, before a big suplex to WIld Boar for a two count. Primate broke the pin up, and Coffey tried to stop him but was sent outside.
Dennis crept around the ring as Primate distracted the referee, and held Wolfgang in place on the ropes for a kick to the neck. Coffey saw this, but Primate stopped him from attacking Dennis. The odds would be evened as Joe Coffey hit the ringside arena and took Dennis out. Now that he distracted the referee, Mark Andrews & Flash Morgan Webster got even with The Hunt by shoving them off the top rope.
Gallus would hit the enziguri into powerslam, and were able to retain with some heavy help from Andrews & Webster. Would The Hunt have won this match without Webster & Andrews getting involved? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
