While Bad Bunny might not be hanging out in WWE at the moment, the issue he started with The Miz lives on through his Wrestlemania 37 tag team partner Damien Priest. After Priest was able to defeat John Morrison on Monday Night RAW, he got to decide that this match will be contested under Lumberjack Rules, giving The Miz no chance of running away. Also, the Lumberjacks are zombies because of a crossover promotion with Army Of The Dead, which stars WWE Hall of Famer Batista.
Damien Priest & Miz Spend More Time Fighting Zombies Than Each Other
As the lumberjacks hit the ringside area, The Miz & Morrison were rattled. Morrison would run away, but Miz got in the ring. Even commentary left, and Priest was oddly fine with all this. They’d lock up in the middle of the ring, before commentary sadly got going from a ‘safe’ location. Miz was sent outside and spooked by the zombies, especially zombie Elvis.
He wandered into the ring, and was hit by a flapjack. Priest was sent outside and decked a few zombies, before getting back in and taking a kick to the face. Miz hit the clothesline in the apron and fell to the outside, where he crawled under the ring to get away from the zombies. Back in the ring, he took a big lariat from Priest.
Priest hit a jumping back elbow in the corner, before setting up a spinning wheel kick off the top rope for a two count. The Miz would counter a kick and look for the Figure Four Leg Lock. He’d lock the hold in, but the zombies pulled them out of the ring. Priest and Miz fought zombies on the floor, before Priest met one about the size of Kane.
After taking him down with a jumping kick, he’d get back in the ring and nail Miz with The Broken Arrow for a two count. Morrison ran back to the ring and set up a running knee from The Miz for a two count. On the outside, Morrison used some parkour skills to take out a few zombies before being pulled behind the barricade. In the ring, Priest hit Hit The Lights, and won.
I don’t know what to make of this match, but Vince McMahon is gonna push that Kane sized zombie to the moon when he watches this one back. Morrison & The Miz likely died, but sadly Adnan Virk got away. Entertainment Rating: 3/5 (***)
