The WWE is no stranger to using star power to draw in new fans and get more media attention, and recent rumors have them working to have Cardi B host SummerSlam, with similar rumors having Logan Paul possibly joining her.
Like most rumors, these have grown legs and have been making their rounds, and we’re curious to see how true they are.

Cardi B hosting SummerSlam
According to @sportsninety, Andrew Zarian reportedly said he can confirm Cardi B will host this year’s SummerSlam.
Zarian originally reported that SummerSlam was moving to Saturday night, so he appears to have good information.
It also helps that Stephanie McMahon recently stated she wanted to get Cardi B involved but nothing’s been confirmed.
With their experience with Bad Bunny being successful, it makes sense that they’re going to continue along this trek to continue tapping into a possible new audience to buy in even if it’s just to see Cardi B.
While this hasn’t been confirmed by the WWE yet, it is an impressive move considering Cardi B’s top tier status and fanbase. It also makes sense since her song “Up” is SummerSlam’s theme.
Though there have been plenty of rumbling among the WWE fanbase that they don’t like this idea. But when was the last time the WWE listened to their fans?
Logan Paul returning?
Speaking of stars WWE fans don’t want to see again, Logan Paul’s name is being bounced around on social media as a possible addition to SummerSlam to team with Cardi B.
Paul was reportedly easy to work with during his time with the company at WrestleMania as he was respectful and didn’t make any waves.
It’s also been rumored that he’d like to return to the WWE at some point in the future. Could he be returning for SummerSlam?
We don’t think he’d return this fast, but anything’s possible. If he does, we’re sure he’ll do so in more of an antagonistic persona since he was soundly booed at WrestleMania and fans on social media weren’t kind.
As we mentioned above, the WWE has shown an ability to claim they listen to the fans while seemingly ignoring us completely.
Besides, if people are booing during a show that means they paid for their tickets, and those posting on social media gave them ratings, right?
This has potential to be interesting on several fronts, and we can’t wait to see how it works out.
