In the aftermath of Extreme Rules and possibly the weakest/worst finish of the year between Roman Reigns and Finn Balor’s “The Demon,” Seth Rollins appear on The Broken Skulls Sessions and admitted he wanted to strangle Vince McMahon after the 2019 HIAC debacle.
This isn’t surprising as we’d be more surprised if anyone liked the ending to Rollins and the Fiend, and Rollins is one of the best in the world and it was a misstep nearly everyone knew was horrible.
Until then, the Fiend had been built up perfectly and the WWE would try to rebuild him with a title win at Crown Jewel in Saudi Arabia, but it was the beginning of the end of the most popular gimmick in a long time.

Rollins lays it out
While talking wit Steve Austin, Rollins said they neither he nor Bray Wyatt were happy with how their Hell in a Cell match was supposed to end but they did what they were told.
The result was the worst ending of the year and resulted in fans drowning out everything else with their boos.
While the fans chanted “Refund,” “Bulls—,” and “AEW,” Rollins was so irate that
The fans were so pissed off, they were chanting “Refund” and “Bullshit” Rollins matched their feelings as he came through the curtain.
Thank you @sportsninety for the quote.
“I came through that curtain and I was ready to strangle Vince McMahon. I’m not kidding you. Tyson Kidd, TJ Wilson, was there to hold me back.”
Following the interview, Bray Wyatt responded on Twitter with, “Wait until you hear my reaction.”
The beginning of the end
We can’t wait to hear what Wyatt’s thoughts on their match are as well as what’s transpired since. That’s a shoot interview that’s going to be highly anticipated by a lot of fans.
It also brings to mind how that match wasn’t just the beginning of the end for the Fiend, but it was the end of Rollins as a face.
The fans turned on his so hard after that there really was no choice but for him to go heel, and it sucks for Rollins as he really sold his character.
He is a natural heel, so maybe that’s one of the good things to come out of it?
The WWE continues to be on a roll lately, but we doubt it’s the kind of roll they want or expected to have.
