When WWE was cutting talent earlier this year, a fan favorite tag team was one of the first to go from the NXT brand. Tyler Breeze & Fandango had proven over the years to be both incredible entertainers and wrestlers – which made it shocking when WWE cut them. These were two men capable of just about anything, which will now benefit any company that touches them. While Breeze has been lying low – Fandango is ready to enter the mix again in an unlikely place. Fandango might get extreme as he makes his GCW debut.
Fandango To Bring A Dance Of Death To GCW
This was announced by GCW on Twitter late last night. His iconic music played for a second, before his name was shown, and then simply shortened to Dango. Not much was revealed here as far as opponents or if he’ll be in a deathmatch – but he’s going to be at the show in Atlantic City.
This show is set to be headlined by current GCW Champion Jon Moxley, who defends against the promotion’s biggest name of Nick Gage in a deathmatch. Mick Foley will even be around to make that one feel really special. Given the scale of this show, it will be a great way for Fandango to show fans what to expect – and with his adaptable style, he could match up well against anyone.
Sadly Effy Already Has A Dance Partner For GCW That Night
One potential opponent for Fandango would have been Effy, who is known for being as queer as he is violent in the ring. They’d match up well stylistically – and could add a bit of comedy to a violent show, which would also deliver some great action between the ropes. However Effy is facing Matt Cardona, so this is a match we will have to wait for.
Tony Deppen would be a solid option, as he doesn’t have a match on the card just yet, and is one of the best workers on the indies today. However just about anyone could work against Fandango – he’s just that type of wrestler. Who do you hope to see him face on October 9th? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
