The nature of their relationship came as a result of a question on an Instagram Q&A. These things tend to go well enough and allow fans and admirers to connect with celebrities in ways they wouldn’t normally be able to on other platforms.

Of course, Q&As and AMAs tend to open the door to trolls and people with nothing better to do but stir the pot by bringing up old resolved issues. In the case of Oscar De La Hoya, the question was about Travis Barker saying that he raised the former World Champion and Olympic gold medalist’s 22-year-old daughter Atiana.
The Golden Boy’s response? “I have nothing but respect for my man @travisbarker”.
At a time when it’s not rare for celebrities to show their ass when hit with questions or reactions from fans—or anyone with access to said platforms—De La Hoya’s response pretty much took all the wind out of the messy question.
De La Hoya had Atiana with ex-fiancée and 1995 Miss USA Shanna Moakler in 1999. Their relationship ended in 2000 when Moakler saw Oscar De La Hoya escorting another woman during the Latin Grammy Awards.
After that, she began dating Dennis Quaid in 2001 before dating Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker. The two married in late 2004 and had two children before divorcing in 2008. Baker has since moved on and is engaged to Kourtney Kardashian, the two announcing their engagement in October.
Atiana has a good relationship with Kardashian and Barker has brought her as well as his two other children with Moakler on trips with Kardashian.
