According to reports, the incident was alleged to have occurred in Tennessee on the back end of the news that Garrett had split up from his ex Emma Roberts.
Although he was taken to the police station, it looks as though he is no longer there after the bond had been set at $2,100 which is hardly going to break the bank. The news is the last thing that the duo would want to hear in light of the fact that they do share a son (Rhodes) together.
Naturally, co-parenting arrangements will have to be set up in order to ensure that both parties will be able to ensure the welfare of their child.
While that was the natural thing to be expected, the very fact of the matter is that this incident is bound to have had some impact on that. After all, their break up is still very much fresh in the memory after having occurred this month.
A source said: “It’s sad, and they are trying their best to co-parent. It’s been hard.” And looking back, the split was lamentable for the following reasons. First of all, the couple had been trying for so long to have a family.
And now that they finally have managed to do that, the short-term euphoria that they experienced has certainly died down somewhat.
In a statement at the time, Emma stated: “Thank you 2020 for getting one thing right. Our bright light Rhodes Robert Hedlund.”
Secondly, by all accounts, Garrett was pulling out all the stops so that their child could have the best possible life. This was especially in light of the pandemic where families are more important than ever.
Sources at the time confirmed as much: “Having a newborn in the pandemic has been a lot harder than either of them expected, but they’re really, really trying their best to figure things out.”
