Another match has been locked down for the on-coming AEW PPV event. At Revolution, two of the young stars of AEW will get a chance to showcase how good they are on a major stage. These will be Sammy Guevara of Chris Jerichos Inner Circle, and Darby Allin.

Darby Allin Has A Bone To Pick

On the January 29th episode of AEW Dynamite, Chris Jericho, Santana & Ortiz of The Inner Circle would defeat the team of Darby Allin & Private Party. Following the match, we would see The Inner Circle swarm their beaten foes. Sammy Guevara would join in on the fun, and use Darby Allins skateboard to inflict some serious pain. A hit to the gut was the light part, as he would also jam it into the throat of Allin. This would put him out of action for several weeks. However he made it clear over pre-taped videos that he was ready for revenge. He would return on the February 19th episode, following the match between Jeff Cobb & Jon Moxley, where he would even the odds as The Inner Circle swarmed Moxley. That was the moment that Guevara knew he was in some deep trouble.

    The Match Made Official

Not wanting this angle to stew longer than needed, the match would be made official on a their YouTube channel during a video hyping up the upcoming episode of Dynamite. It should result in a helluva match, with both Darby & Sammy being top level performers, who simply lack the polish to be main event talents yet. It leaves only Santana & Ortiz without a match for Revolution, which I’m sure will be rectified. They can easily be fit into the pre-show if nothing else, where they have many options for opponents given the depth of the AEW Tag Team division.

With Darby having some bloodlust after the vicious beatdown, and already being a tenacious performer, he has the edge going into this matchup. Sammy is a very crafty performer, and he could have The Inner Circle back him up. Even with backup, it doesn’t look good for him at Revolution. This will teach him to not pick fights he isn’t ready to finish. Who do you think will be the winner of this match of young stars? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
