AEW Revolution continues! Now, it’s time for Sammy Guevara’s bout with Darby Allin! Before the match, we get a very simple little video this time – Darby does a backflip and does a throat-slit gesture! Sammy makes his way out first, then comes Darby… before the bell, Allin surprises him with a diagonal suicide dive! Shotgun dropkick takes him hard into the barricade! Throws him into the barrier, charges him but Sammy evades, ruthless Rider Kick lands flush in the face! Sammy Guevara wants to slam him facefirst in the barrier. Jurassic Express are notably at ringside.
Darby suplexes Guevara onto the barricade, leaves him hanging! Darby back into the ring, another dive – flying headbutt, their heads actually collide! Yikes! Sammy grabs Darby’s skateboard and throws it right into his face! Pulls out a table! Bell still hasn’t rung here so there’s no DQs. Referee really wants Sammy to get into the ring. Sammy gets Darby up onto the table! Guevara goes up top! Signals that he’s crazy… super fast 630 Splash takes him right through the table!! That was insane! Sammy finally rolls into the ring and poses as the referee checks on Darby. This match may never get started!
Chant of “Darby”. Allin slowly picks himself up and rolls into the ring…
Daby Allin vs. Sammy Guevara
The bell rings, Guevara gets him with an immediate charging dropkick to the face for a nearfall!! Wild stuff here. Darby choked against the bottom rope! Kick to the rope sends it into his neck! Kick to the throat! Darby stands straight up and gets in his face! Hooks Guevara up with the Gory Special! Biting at the hand! Takes him to the mat for a Fujiwara Armbar, with the fingers locked! Sammy reaching for the ropes with the other arm but Darby grabs it too! Sammy is in immense pain! Rolls around and puts a leg to the rope to break the hold!
Sammy baits Darby out and back in the ring, drives his neck into the ropes! Sammy up top, Diving Footstomp takes Darby brutally into the apron, Jesus! They note that he seemed to roll his ankle a bit on the stomp, his foot has been bothering him for a while. Rolls him into the ring, covers for a nearfall! Rolls outside, grabs the skateboard and takes it into the ring… Darby rushes him, Code Red for a nearfall! The referee sends the skateboard out of the ring. Darby up top, Sammy crotches him! Pursues, chop to the chest! Wants a superplex… Darby shoves him to the mat! Sammy springs from the mat back up there, almost falls off the top rope thanks to the bum foot – Avalanche Spanish Fly for a nearfall!!! This is so crazy. “AEW” chant!
Sammy rips off the turnbuckle pad, but a shock Monkey Flip sends him facefirst right into the exposed buckle! Gets his crazy Stunner in! Goes up top in spite of how much distance is between them! Coffin Drop nailed and Darby gets the victory!
Winner: Darby Allin
Afterwards, Darby takes up the skateboard. He wants to crush his throat the same Sammy did to him but Jake Hager appears to pull him out of the ring! Nonetheless, crowd way into Darby as he celebrates his victory! Great stuff there, wild and chaotic. Such a bright future with both of these guys.
