AEW Dynamite comes to us once again tonight! Below you will find the results for every segment as they come, plus links to detailed recaps! Watch this space!
Segment 1: Jon Moxley came out to celebrate his AEW World Championship victory! He had a speech, echoing his sentiments after winning the gold at Revolution, before going on to say that he would defend the title with everything he had. Dared anyone to come face him and challenge him, particularly the Inner Circle. Chris Jericho and the rest of the group made their way out. Jericho berated Moxley for ‘cheating’ at Revolution by being able to see with both eyes. He mentions the Jericho/Guevara vs. Allin/Moxley main event for tonight and makes a bet – if Moxley can walk out under his own power tonight, Jericho will take a 60 day leave of absence from AEW!
Segment 2: In our first match of the night, we saw Colt Cabana in his in-ring AEW debut team up with SCU to face The Dark Order in an eight man tag team match. Cabana looked pretty damn good in the match and got the victory with the Superman Pin, much to Evil Uno’s fury, who said that the Exalted One would be furious with them. Then Big Swole defeated Leva Bates in a quick squash match.
Segment 3: Cody appears following his loss to MJF on Saturday to talk about what happened. Called out MJF to meet him in the ring when, surprisingly out came Jake the Snake Roberts instead! Making his AEW debut, he confronted Cody and cut a promo saying that he had a client and he was about to go after him.
Segment 4: In Chuck Taylor’s first singles match in AEW, he took on PAC. The Bastard got the victory, and afterwards, Pentagon and Rey Fenix emerged to help him beat down the Best Friends triumvirate. They then made their trio official, calling themselves the Death Triangle.
Segment 5: In his Dynamite debut, Jake Hager defeated QT Marshall. Then a big brawl started up, a likely Blood & Guts teaser as the Elite and Inner Circle fought it out.
Segment 6: In the main event, we had Sammy Guevara and Chris Jericho against Darby Allin and Jon Moxley, except before the bell, Mox was jumped by Santana, Ortiz and Jake Hager in the stands. They took him out in the common area, leaving Darby in a handicap match. Heroically he fought on anyway, and came dangerously close to winning, but in the end a mid-dive Judas Effect gave the victory to the Inner Circle. Moxley then staggered his way out to take the fight to the group but they overwhelmed him with their numbers and gave him a mocking Shield Bomb through a table from the stage!
