Per Super Luchas, Impact Wrestling’s Daga says to be willing to defend his AAA Latin American title outside the company. Daga won the championship back in October against Drago in Heroes Inmortales XIII. He only defended the championship once in AAA, against Brian Cage, Flamita, and Taurus.
Daga is arguably one of the best technical wrestlers in Mexico. He and Negro Navarro show a different side to the regular Lucha Libre style that fans expect from Mexico. In the last two years, Daga exploded in the independent scene. He wrestled in PROGRESS Wrestling’s SS Tournament. Moreover, he was part of Major League Wrestling and later, Impact Wrestling, having a high profile character.
Since the closing down of AAA, Daga is anxious to defend the Latin American Championship. Kaoz Lucha Libre has had some close doors shows, but Daga was in the last one in June. He twitted:
If @luchalibreaaa does not do something I hope that @kaozluchalibre is a platform on which they let me wager my belt. It does not matter if it is one of the lizards (new talents) or someone consecrated or one of those who call themselves legends. #eljefelostienepuestos
Si @luchalibreaaa no hace algo espero que @kaozluchalibre sea una plataforma en la cual me dejen apostar mi cinturón. No importa si es una de las lagartijas (nuevos talentos) o algún consagrado o de esos que se dicen leyendas. #eljefelostienepuestos

Super Luchas reports on the situation:
The coronavirus pandemic has affected wrestling events worldwide and AAA has been no exception, stopping almost all its activities since March. For this reason, some wrestlers have searched for events outside the company and one of them is Daga, who even wants to defend by defending the AAA Latin American Championship at the Kaoz company.
Daga has had little participation in the ring since public performances were suspended in Mexico and other parts of the world, so he has not seen activity in AAA, Impact, and any other company since March, except for Lucha Libre. Kaoz, where he appeared on June 14 at a closed-door event.
This company had the authorization to carry out this event despite the health contingency that has caused countless canceled events. However, despite the controversy over whether it is a good idea to make such shows in the midst of a pandemic, along with some others they have decided to work without an audience.
On the future of the AAA Latin American title, Super Luchas reports:
And although Lucha Libre AAA already held the Lucha Fighter tournament (where Daga did not participate) in April, and very demanding sanitary measures were taken, the company so far has decided not to do more functions for the moment, something that has left Daga and many of his companions waiting for the moment to fight again.
For this reason, the Chief is looking for options to continue working and one of them is Lucha Libre Kaoz, where he wants to expose the championship won on October 19, 2019 and who has only defended once since then, something he wants to change to give it luster to the belt.
