After AEW Dark, it looks like Brain Cage and Ricky Starks are going to be joining together to form a kind of faction. This will probably have TAZ as the figurehead of the faction. There are also some hints at MJF also joining the faction in the near future.
This comes from Ricky Starks helping Brain Cage at the end of attacking Darby Allin after his match. With Robert Anthony trying to attack Cage for attacking Darby Allin but then Ricky Starks attacked him before he could do anything. It was the anologyment by both Cage and TAZ which made us think that a faction is in the works…
Could MJF be part of this faction?
The reason why MJF could join the faction in the future is due to his relationship with Ricky Starks. In the past, MJF and Ricky Starks have had some amazing matches and it looks like they could be pretty close friends. Now with cracks showing between MJF and Wardlow, could it be time for him to join a faction?
This could be great for MJF and the faction, if it’s made. The fact that MJF feels like he should be with a faction at this moment in time to stay dominant in the ring and in the form of a faction could be great for MJF to someday become the future of the company.
There’s also the fact that seeing TAZ and MJF work together in the same faction could be something truly legendary. Then there was the interaction with Cage and Ricky, which could be gold for the company. There’s also the fact that it would mostly end with matches between them. Also, story wise, this could be the way MJF hides from Wardlow when that blows up.
Do AEW really need another one?
The short answer to this is yes. It looks like the long time view of AEW factions. Is to build some great factions for future Triple Tag championships. With their best Tag Teams in the world, they use. It would make a lot of sense that they’re going to be heading toward showing fans that they’ll also have the best Triple Tag champions.
