We’re not just getting matches from the Japanese bracket of the AEW World Women’s Eliminator Tournament tonight, but the final two matches on the American Side. Riho & Thunder Rosa have already advanced, and tonight we’ll know who else moves forward. Nyla Rose is a former AEW Women’s Champion and has beaten Tay Conti in the past, but tonight is the biggest chance Conti has ever had here. Conti comes into this one with a four match win streak as well.

    Tay Conti Came Prepared

Conti & Rose got right into it, but Rose easily won the first lockup. Rose nailed a big knee to the gut and a scoop slam on Conti, but only got a one count. Some clubbing blows were to be followed by another scoop slam, but Conti slapped out and kicked Nyla in the back of the neck. Rose fought back with a flipping neckbreaker, before hitting a fisherman suplex.

Conti was choked in the corner with a boot, before coming back with her signature hard kicks. Rose would block one, and hit a nasty dragon screw leg whip in response before hitting a DDT to the now injured knee. Another choke in the corner, before the leg was set up on the bottom rope and Rose hit a hip drop. Rose hit a running splash, getting a near fall.

    Nyla Rose Is A Beast

The leg would be attacked further with a submission, before Conti kicked with the good leg and applied a knee bar. Rose kicked her way free, and went for Beast Bomb but Conti hit a hurricanrana and a roundhouse kick. Conti got a near fall, and then got run over by Rose with a lariat. Rose took a bicycle knee strike in the corner, before Conti put her judo skills to good work with some throws before a knee strike. Conti nailed the hammerlock DDT, and got a two count.

Rose kept kicking out on repeat pinfall attempts, and Conti was getting frustrated. Conti & Rose would trade blows as they got back to their feet, Rose eventually just slapping her across the face and getting locked in the Dragon Sleeper for her troubles. Rose exposed a turnbuckle, but wasn’t able to use it. Conti got a visible pinfall as Aubrey Edwards tried to fix the corner pad. Rose sent Conti to the outside, hit a Death Valley Driver on the ramp, but only got a two count. Beast Bomb would end it soon after, putting Nyla Rose to the next round.

Will Nyla Rose be able to win this tournament?Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
