Another week, another BTE, and although this one wasn’t the best due to the fact, everyone is working on the PPV. We still got some small teases for the future. One of these being one of the highly anticipated matches that never happened in WWE.
The match between both massive men; Big Show going up against the big man himself, Shaquille O’Neal. It was teased continuously in WWE that it would happen as part of Wrestlemania but never did. Then with Big Show looking like he was done wrestling in WWE. It doesn’t look like he is done in AEW.
The Tease
The tease that took place in Being the Elite was very subtle, but a teaser for a match in AEW nearly confirms that it could happen in the future.
We got Tully Blanchard in a match last week. Paul Wight Vs Shaquille O’Neal isn’t that out of the question. The tease was a short clip of Shaquille O’Neal getting in the ring and not using the top rope. Then it cuts to the Big Show saying the excellent job he did not go over the top.
This was a very small hint, but that is all we need for a future match between these two monsters. It feels like this feud could now start after the big PPV is out of the way, and the match against Cody is over.
When could we see this in AEW?
Although the first match was put onto the Wednesday show due to the possibility of building up more viewers through the TV, this is definitely a PPV match where the lead up can be part of both AEW Dynamite and their new show on YouTube AEW Elevation.
The next PPV is already set up for May 30 and is considered AEW’s biggest PPV. Making it possible we could see a match like Big Show and Shaquille O’Neal at PPV soon.
