All Out 2020 Preview | AEW's Biggest Show Of The Year

It’s been building up for months, but tonight is perhaps All Elite Wrestling’s biggest PPV event of the year. It might be only running at partial capacity unlike Revolution, but All Out simply hits differently. Alongside Double Or Nothing, it’s already become a huge name in the world of AEW, with its origins dating back to All In in 2018.

For such a huge event, they did not slack on this card, as it is one of their best of the year. Let’s break down the biggest matches, three title matches and one major grudge match.

Jon Moxley Defends The AEW Championship Against MJF

Since AEW got started, MJF has preached that he’s better than absolutely everyone, and the fact that no one has pinned him backs this up. He has losses yes, but those weren’t his fault. No one has beaten MJF. There is only one other man who makes such a claim, that being Jon Moxley, the reigning AEW Champion.

This is just one of the things that makes this AEW Championship defense so compelling. Add in the campaign that MJF ran to ban the Paradigm Shift, and him laying Moxley out in a pool of his own blood on the go-home show? This one is going to be a battle, and could honestly go either way. These are two of the best wrestlers AEW have to offer, and they’re gonna give fans something to remember.

Hangman Page & Kenny Omega Defend The AEW Tag Team Championship Against FTR

Ever since they won the AEW Tag Team Championships from S.C.U earlier this year, Kenny Omega & Hangman Page have become one of the best tag teams in the world. They’ve beaten all comers, had one of the most critically acclaimed tag team matches of all time against The Young Bucks, and are all but unstoppable. The only thing that can stop them is themselves.

FTR are one of the top teams in the world, and not just in the ring. They know how to play with the minds of everyone around, and have gotten into the head of Hangman Page. Page has been doubting himself for most of the year, leading up to him sabotaging the Young Bucks, preventing a rematch from Revolution. This led to him being kicked out of The Elite, with his sole connection being Kenny Omega.

Many want this match to be the main event the show over MJF vs. Jon Moxley, due to how damn good the storytelling has been. The story of Hangman Page has been one of the best of 2020, and by the end of the night, he could be truly alone.

Hikaru Shida Meets Her Match In Thunder Rosa

Cross-promotional matches between champions are always something that are worth paying attention too. Hikaru Shida has been doing her best to establish a good reign as AEW Women’s Champion, despite the AEW Women’s roster being paper thin at the moment. She would call on the best of the best to come face her, and Thunder Rosa was one of the first to answer the call of battle.

These are two women in the prime of their career wrestling for the very first time, with the AEW Women’s Championship on the line. Thunder Rosa has a chance to be the latest wrestler to sport two titles by the end of tonight, and should Shida win, a rematch with the NWA Women’s Championship might be in short order.

Orange Cassidy Faces Chris Jericho In Mimosa Mayhem

One of the most shocking feuds of 2020 has been that of Orange Cassidy and the living legend that is Chris Jericho. Their first match was one of the best of the year, with Orange Cassidy having the match of his life. He’d lose that one, but get the win in the rematch.

Jericho being doused in Orange Juice, heated brawls, debates, and Cassidy being waterboarded with champagne have all led up to one of the more unique matches we will see. It’s a Mimosa Mayhem match, where victory can be achieved via pinfall, submission, or by throwing your opponent in the giant mixture of Mimosa at ringside. It’s unique to say the least, and this might be the only time we ever see this gimmick in play.

Other matches on this card include Young Bucks vs. Jurassic Express, a 21 man battle royale for a shot at the AEW Championship, Dark Order vs. Matt Cardona, Dustin Rhodes, QT Marshall, & Scorpio Sky, Matt Hardy vs. Sammy Guevara in a Broken Rules match, and Britt Baker vs. Big Swole in a Tooth & Nail Match. What are you most looking forward to with All Out? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
