With a net worth of more than $800 million, the actor is one of the wealthiest in Hollywood as well. As such, he can afford himself some luxury. Expensive houses, luxury vehicles, and expensive wear are just the things that we can see. What we can’t see is his will to help his family and friends.
Dwayne The Rock Johnson Buys A New Luxury Home For His Mother
Recently, the famous wrestler and actor brings tears to his mother, Ata Johnson’s, eyes when he announces that he bought her a new luxury home. He goes to Instagram to share this beautiful news with the world and writes “Love you mom, and surprise!”
The video that he posts start with his mother standing outside a house with a big black door in front. Accompanying the video and making it complete is the song Over the Rainbow by Israel Kamakawiwo.
“When I was a little boy, I hated when my mom would cry ~ these days, I’ll happily take her tears of joy.” – the actor says.
“I surprised my mom and bought her a new home. Took me and my design team 8 weeks to get it ready, where she could walk thru her front door for the very first time and everything she saw was brand new and a total surprise.” – The Rock adds.
“I’ve been lucky enough to have bought her a few homes over the years, but this one is special as she’s told me over and over these past few years, “After a lifetime of traveling, I want this home to be my last. That’s my dream. Mom, there’s no greater feeling than to make you happy – welcome home!” – Dwayne Johnson ends his long caption.
After the first post, the Rock shares another one, in which his mother is already inside the house. The video shows a 360 of the room where we can see some expensive furniture, some interesting photo corner, and lastly, his mother as she enters the room all teary and evidently happy with the new place.
The photo corner, according to the actor is full of photos of his mother and his ancestors. People that she hasn’t seen since she moved to the USA.
“Brought my mom into her new family room where we placed her vintage ukuleles up on the wall and I was able to unearth pictures of our ancestors that she hasn’t seen since she was a child growing up in Samoa. She misses her mom and dad.” – the actor writes – “I miss them too. Thank you, God, for blessing me with a little bit of work ethic to make stuff like this happen.”
The world is pleasantly surprised to see some of the most famous people carrying for their parents after gaining such success.
In the end, the parents are responsible for the people we become later in life. Showing a little gratitude is the least that we as children can do. So, Kudos to the Rock for this move.
