Lately, we’ve been seeing AEW World Tag Team Champions The Acclaimed tangle with a legend of the professional wrestling industry. Jeff Jarrett was signed to a deal with All Elite Wrestling in late 2022, mainly to help expand their live event coverage both in the United States and Internationally. However, he’s also still got plenty of offer in the ring – and alongside Jay Lethal, nearly won the companies tag team championships. He’s been one of the most effective heels in the company, and absolutely loves how easy he can rile up the AEW fanbase.
Jeff Jarrett Calls AEW Fans Delusional
While talking on his “My World With Jeff Jarrett” podcast, he would talk about the reactions he’s gotten from AEW fans since arriving – especially during Battle Of The Belts V when he was met with hostile chants from the audience in the arena.
“It was an entertaining two-match situation, it’s far from over, but I am, as I sit here today Conrad, super grateful, I still am dumbfounded why people want to chant ‘F you Jeff Jarrett’ … I said it night one, AEW has a delusional fanbase and that’s kind of the simplistic answer.”
Feud With The Acclaimed Hasn’t Finished Just Yet
It seems apparent that this feud with The Acclaimed is likely to continue into February, with atleast one more big match planned with the AEW World Tag Team Championships on the line. Jarrett is a pro at working crowds, and he’s been working some serious magic when infront of the fans of AEW. It’s only helping make The Acclaimed into even bigger babyfaces, and Jarrett hasn’t even pulled out any new tricks.
By simply playing the classics, Jarrett has proven that sometimes the old tricks are just what it takes to get genuine heel heat in the ring. It’s unclear how long his on-screen role will last, with it ultimately being the extra perk alongside his business expertise in the industry – but fans will likely never stop hating him until he leaves TV, which is just what The Last Outlaw wants to see.
