I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.

AEW Dynamite is on tap once more tonight. We’ve got plenty to discuss as usual, including two title matches and an interview with the biggest free agent tag team signing in many, many years. With no further ado let’s get to the AEW Dynamite Preview. TNT Championship: Cody (c) vs. Jungleboy Cody is the inaugural TNT Champion and the decision was made for him really that his first title defense would come very quickly, as even when going into Double or Nothing we knew they’d be holding a battle royal to name the immediate challenger. Jungleboy was the winner that…

AEW Dark is just about done, just got the main event done. Brandon Cutler and Peter Avalon come out of separate tunnels for their entrance which is hilarious. Cutler spins his die but Avalon kicks it and so we don’t get a number this week. They face off against the Natural Nightmares, QT Marshall and Dustin Rhodes. Brandi is with Dustin of course… and QT summons the Bunny herself Allie as well, much to their consternation! They hold hands as QT very gentlemanly pulls out a chair for her at the broadcast table. Meanwhile in the ring Cutler and Dustin…

AEW Dark continues. Big Game Leroy and EJ Lewis are making their AEW debuts tonight, although I believe they’ve been appearing on recent BTE skits focused on Private Party? Not totally sure but I think so. Leroy comes out with his Nintendo Switch and is refusing to turn his attention away from whatever he’s pretending to play. They have a big test against Proud-N-Powerful, Santana and Ortiz of the Inner Circle! Proud-N-Powerful vs. Big Game Leroy & EJ Lewis Santana starts with Leroy. He axe kicks the Switch out of his hand and nails him with a push kick! He…

AEW Dark continues! Backstage we see Brandon Cutler with the Librarians, Peter Avalon and Leva Bates. Being interviewed by a very tiny lady. She says that a lot is being made about whose foot touched first in the TNT title shot battle royal but she notes it doesn’t matter, they both lost. Cutler and Avalon are furious at this suggestion and bicker about who was eliminated first and the interviewer quickly decides she wants no part of this and makes her leave. Leva intervenes and demands they both stop. She says that yelling does not solve the problem but she’s…

AEW Dark continues. Jon Cruz and Joe Alonzo are here to face off with the Butcher and the Blade, funnily right after their manager Allie aka the Bunny just appeared with QT. Unsurprisingly she’s not here with them as they come out. I’m sure it’s all a part of a ruse of some sort though. I can’t help but think they won’t need her help against these guys anyway. Joe Alonzo & Jon Cruz vs. The Butcher & The Blade Before the bell they rush Cruz and Alonzo and batter them into the corner. Butcher with a big clubbering blow,…

AEW Dark commences, it’s not super-sized this time but I imagine slightly longer matches for what remains this week. First up, John Skyler in a singles match this time, interestingly against Billy Gunn! John Skyler vs. Billy Gunn As the match begins, Billy’s son Austin is pounding the apron and chanting for his dad. Billy wants a lock-up, Skyler backs up into the corner to force some separation. Starting to lock-up, Billy surprises him with a leg kick! Austin cackles at a high pitch because of this. Billy with a hammerlock, and then he just up and spanks him. Austin…

WWE Monday Night Raw continues. We now have but the main event left, it’s MVP taking on WWE Champion Drew McIntyre in a singles match. But before then, out comes Bobby Lashley to the ring in his gear looking for all the world like he’s about to have a match himself. MVP is out here and basically skips his own ballin’ entrance to instead bump forearms with Lashley. At 9:54 PM my time, the champ makes his way into the ring. This is uh… not gonna be a marathon match. In fact it’s still not starting yet, Lana’s theme hits…

WWE Monday Night Raw continues. We talk with Rey Mysterio. Rey says there’s still no timetable on when or if he can return. It depends on how fast he can recover. Says what really worries him is that if he gets an infection it could end his career. Joe asks him about Seth giving him a retirement ceremony earlier on. Rey says he has no idea if he’ll be retiring. You know him, he could be back in a few weeks. But the question of when he’ll be retiring is something that’s been on his mind of late. Rey says…
