I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.

We’ve got ourselves another marquee NXT event tonight, folks! We have a major North American Championship match tonight as Keith Lee defends against Johnny Gargano! This TakeOver is a rather unique one bringing back a branding I’m not sure anyone ever expected… it’s NXT TakeOver: In Your House! It’s cute and nostalgic in some ways, but it’s also a name that basically translates to being lesser than a regular PPV. I mean seriously that was the whole idea back in the day. Perhaps they want lower expectations than usual for this, the first and maybe only TakeOver of the pandemic…

WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues. AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan will meet face-to-face tonight, but first we see a Matt Riddle vignette where he talks about the crowd bro’ing up with him, but we’re told in spite of his laidback demeanor he’s a dangerous man and it’s an easy thing to prove with the footage. Now backstage, Braun Strowman is being interviewed. He’s asked about what his Backlash opponents promised to do. Braun says earlier they messed with his protein shakes. Compares them to two annoying bugs crawling around your neck. As he talks we see Miz and Morrison fiddle…

WWE Friday Night SmackDown continues. We’ll be seeing Lacey Evans vs. Sonya Deville later on, but first… Miz and Morrison are stalking out waiting for Braun Strowman in the parking lot, watching on from their limo I guess. They talk up how Braun’s about to go through hell. Braun casually leaves his car and rolls his bag through the parking lot and we fade to black, I guess this will be a show-long thing. Miz speaks to the camera saying everyone knows what it’s like to deal with annoying co-workers. But ever since they challenged Braun Strowman to a handicap…
