I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.

Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here and we are closing in on a pretty damn crazy weekend of wrestling. The long talked about NXT main roster invasion has finally happened over the past few weeks, and we’ve been led to a truly unique couple of shows. Rounding out the weekend, WWE Survivor Series 2019 is upon us, and it’s set to be a very unique show to say the very least. It’s a three way war, with Raw vs. SmackDown vs. NXT! Plus, three very interesting world title matches will be taking place as well. Regardless of what you think…

As I write this, NXT TakeOver: WarGames just went off the air. It was a wild, brutal, violent and truly insane night. Not to mention quite unpredictable. So it’s only appropriate that the main event continued that trend. Stunningly, Kevin Owens joined Team Ciampa, allying with Tommaso Ciampa, Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic to do battle with Adam Cole, Roderick Strong, Kyle O’Reilly & Bobby Fish – The Undisputed Era! No one saw that one coming, to say the very least! It was a chaotic encounter, full of shattered tables among other things! Stunningly, the bout ended with Ciampa hitting…

For weeks, we’ve had a mystery spot in the major main event of NXT TakeOver WarGames. We know Team Ciampa will be squaring off with The Undisputed Era. Tommaso Ciampa leads Keith Lee and Dominik Dijakovic into the battle, but that leaves a fourth partner unknown – atleast until now. The fourth man was teased throughout the night, as someone who might show up and might not. Even as the match began we didn’t know who it was. They were the final member to come in, and only after the timer ended did he reveal himself. But to say the…

Finn Balor has made waves since his return to NXT and shocking heel turn that came along with it. He even injured Johnny Gargano, in-storyline costing him his TakeOver streak. He was meant to face Johnny Wrestling at NXT TakeOver WarGames but Johnny ended up not being able to be cleared in tiem and they opted to put him against Matt Riddle instead. In his first match back officially for the black-and-gold brand, he put on a fine performance as you’d expect. He took pretty much everything Matt Riddle had to throw at him, a match that went between physicality…

It was a brutal fight to be sure, as anticipated. Killian Dain, Damian Priest and Pete Dunne are three of NXT’s roughest costumers and they’ve had a gritty three-way feud over the past couple of months. It finally came to a head in Chicago at NXT TakeOver: WarGames in a very high stakes match-up! After all, the winner not only got bragging rights in putting down two top rivals, but they would end up earning an NXT Championship match and a very high profile one at that! It was a wild affair, nearfalls aplenty and some real hard hitting brutality.…

When Rhea Ripley led her team against Shayna Baszler’s team in the first-ever women’s WarGames match, it was no hot take to think it’d be a crazy battle. But I don’t think anyone truly expected what we saw in that match. After Mia Yim was taken out earlier in the night, Dakota Kai was subbed in – only to immediately turn on the group as soon as her time came, and she viciously assaulted and injured her own best friend Tegan Nox in the process! This left Team Ripley with a staggering 4 on 2 disadvantage going into the now…

Mia Yim was seemingly really looking forward to going to war tonight in the first-ever women’s WarGames match. She went so far as to don Bull Nakano tribute facepaint to get into her inner warrior. However, on the NXT TakeOver: WarGames pre-show, we saw her laid out backstage and she’ll end up missing the show. As of this writing, the spot is now open. My immediate thought upon seeing that was one Dakota Kai. She was notably left off the WarGames team and obviously very disheartened by it. It seemed like it was setting up something, so for Mia to…

Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here for another night of recap action and this is a big one here as we have NXT TakeOver WarGames! For the first time, we’ll be seeing two of these matches in one night, including the first-ever women’s edition of the famed stip match! Plus, a high stakes triple threat and a dream singles match. And I’ll be giving a live play-by-play of the whole thing! Watch this space! We open with Pat McAfee, Sam Roberts and Cathy Kelley as our panel. We see Mia Yim having been taken out backstage in her Bull Nakano…

Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here and we are closing in on a pretty damn crazy weekend of wrestling. The long talked about NXT main roster invasion has finally happened over the past few weeks, and we’ve been led to a surreal couple of shows. First we have NXT TakeOver WarGames 2019. It’s a big show, in spite of only having four matches due to the length expected from the double WarGames encounters. I’ll be doing a match by match preview for the whole card, so let’s get to it! A late addition was made to the show’s card over…
