I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.

For the last two years, WWE’s shows in Saudi Arabia have been highly controversial. This is for a mountain of reasons, but perhaps the most blatant, hardest to ignore issue was the fact that women were not allowed to compete on the show. From the beginning it stuck out like a sore thumb. Before I even knew the sanctions, I could tell something wasn’t right from the moment they announced the Greatest Royal Rumble. In addition to the titular 50-man Rumble, they also announced a whopping seven championship matches. Every single title was on the line, every championship… except for…

Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here to recap episode four of NWA Powerrr! We start with a video package revolving around Tim Storm’s past few weeks, particularly last week’s dealings with Eli Drake. We see the Dawsons surprising defeat of Storm and Drake, and Aldis emerging to check on Storm afterwards. Cornette and Galli introduce James Storm. James is sick and tired of having to prove himself week after week. He doesn’t think he should have to prove anything. Asks why Nick Aldis is ducking him, and says even though he beat Colt Cabana, he still wants to jump on…

Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here for another slice of recaption, this time for episode four of AEW Dark! Tony Schiavone introduces us to the show as always and plugs the tag title tournament final coming tomorrow, and Full Gear in two weeks. We begin with tag team action as QT Marshall is set to make his AEW in-ring debut! Surprisingly, he is really rocking the apple motif, even being introduced from the Big Apple. Avalon as always runs down the crowd. Tells QT the apple bite was a bit too loud, as loud as Sonny Kiss’ outfit. He notes…

We have some news regarding AEW Full Gear today, the PPV that will be airing November 9th. Yesterday, AEW’s twitter account hyped up a big announcement for a good few hours. After much hype and speculation, it turned out that they were hosting a special episode of AEW Dynamite on January 1st, that they’ve labelled a Homecoming show. It will take place in Jacksonville at the Daily’s Place, the same venue that hosted Fight For The Fallen. The site is used as the practice field for the Jacksonville Jaguars, the NFL team that Tony Khan happens to own. This…

Now, we know some details about the schedule – which with the changes WWE have made this year, was up in the air – and some handy things to know if you’re planning on being there for the show live in Tampa Bay, Florida. Okay, so this was last week’s show on FS1. It was by far the smallest network that any major WWE show has ever aired on, a huge step down from FOX. And it was something they were only doing for one week. They promoted it as well as could be on what seemed like short notice, but still, we only knew it would be on FS1 about a week and a half out from my recollection. So I’m not gonna sit here and pretend that this number is a massive story that spells doom and gloom for SmackDown. But it…

Jordan Huie of the Overtimer here, to recap another episode of Monday Night Raw. You can see my preview of tonight’s episode right here. Watch this space. Paige opens the show? Didn’t see that one coming, okay. Welcomes us to Monday Night Raw. She brings up that she’s been advising a very special tag team, and she’s proud to be a small part of their success. Introduces the Kabuki Warriors. Kairi has a parasol with her, and is wearing her title like a collar, ala Bubba Ray Dudley. They all come to the ring, Paige says she introduced this tag…

Here’s a quick rundown on what you can expect from tonight’s edition of Monday Night Raw. Jerry “The King” Lawler presents the Divorce Court with Rusev and Lana. Yep, the King’s Court is being re-named specially for this angle. Bobby Lashley isn’t being advertised as part of it, but there’s absolutely no way on Earth that he doesn’t appear. This has been one of WWE’s wackiest storylines, so expect more of that here tonight. Also yeesh, having Jerry Lawler preside over a segment called the Divorce Court… little on the nose! If that ain’t a rib, I don’t know what…

Matt Sydal is a very talented professional wrestler, one that if not for a combination of bad luck with injuries and stupid decisions on his part, would probably be much more famous today than he is. He’s a high flier straight out of the burgeoning days of the X-Division. To many he’s probably still best remembered as Evan Bourne, the exciting, plucky young babyface that caught the hearts of many in his WWE run in the late aughts and early 2010s. This was still a period that pre-dated WWE’s influx of indy darlings. Simply put, the WWE audience wasn’t used…
