So the launch of WWE 2K20 has been, in simplest terms, a complete and utter debacle. As a fan of video games and wrestling games specifically, it’s a disappointing thing to see. The world is still reeling from several nights ago, where we perhaps saw, without any hyperbole, the most shocking moment in NXT history. WWE Backstage is a curious show. It’s technically set to have it’s premiere on November 5 on Fox Sports 1. However they’ve been airing half hour ‘previews’ on FS1 for the last couple of weeks, and it’s different if nothing else. Essentially, it’s a studio show paneled by Renee Young, Booker T, Christian and Paige, and of course involves other special guests, where they analyze WWE’s shows ESPN-style. Randy Orton has been making a stir of late. It’s fairly well known that the multi-time WWE world champion and former WrestleMania main eventer is in the last year of his WWE contract.
