Entertainment reporter Chris Van Vliet has signed with AEW. He announced as much himself on his personal Instagram page. He will be acting as a backstage interviewer, beginning with AEW’s debut on TNT on October 2nd. Vliet is already known for his wrestling interviews, frequently posted to his YouTube channel. WMC Action News 5 in Memphis and PWInsider are reporting that Jerry Lawler is filing a wrongful death suit against Hardeman County, Tennessee and specifically Hardeman County Sheriff John Doolen. The lawsuit pertains to the 2018 death of Jerry Lawler’s son Brian. The death was ruled a suicide after he was found hanging in his prison cell. He is alleging that during Brian’s incarceration, he was not given proper treatment for his drug and alcohol issues. Impact Wrestling have announced two matches for the upcoming Impact episode. Tessa Blanchard, thought by many to be among the best women’s wrestlers going, will be facing off with Madman Fulton.
