I’m a hardcore wrestling fan, by which I mean I’m a hardcore fan of wrestling... but I also have nothing against hardcore wrestling! I’ve been watching since 2006, back when I was 12 years old. In that time I’ve fervently followed WWE, TNA, ROH, Lucha Underground and others. Today I’m most passionate about NXT, New Japan and especially AEW! You could call me a modern wrestling savant but I know my old school stuff as well... I’ll be your huckleberry all night long.

AEW Dynamite continues. As they run down the card for Double or Nothing, they drop that there will be a Double Or Nothing Ladder Match and it sounds like it’s literally just Money In The Bank done a couple weeks after Money In The Bank. Kinda unlike them to go for that but they are doing it the one year where we won’t have a conventional one so I guess it’s filling the void in a way. Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara make their way out and MJF sings along with Judas as Pineapple Pete clobbers Jericho during the entrance!…

AEW Dynamite rolls on. We get a pretty good promo from Brandi Rhodes responding to Jake Roberts’ constant mentioning of her name and Archer’s ‘advances’ on her last week. Brandi calls out his usual gameplans, figures that he wants to lure her into a confrontation with Lance Archer in tow and the two of them would corner her and make her feel real small, just to get Cody to come running in to make the save only to get ambushed. Brandi says that worked great in his heyday but there’s a hole in that plot now because it’s not 1991…

AEW Dynamite rolls on. We get a video from MJF saying there’s a lot of younger talent saying they’re the next big thing even though they’re almost 30 but that’s cool. Says the secret is that he’s the guy but nobody wants to admit it because they all hate his guts. So they all want to quote his illustrious mentor and move the goalposts. Says everyone likes to compare him to the all-time legends. ‘MJF is great but he’s no Flair/Rock/Piper’. Says that comes from insecurity. That 24-year-old ‘kid’ is a star and he’s got more ‘it’ in his pinky…

AEW Dynamite rolls on and we have a video looking at the path of destruction carved out by AEW Women’s World Champion Nyla Rose, as well as detailing the other big stars of the division, Britt Baker, Hikaru Shida and interestingly Penelope Ford. Kinda seems like it’s suggesting a triple threat to determine the No. 1 Contender to me. But for now, we have the official return of Nyla Rose herself as she comes for a one-on-one against a hapless jobber. On her way out Tony Schiavone is here to interview her. Nyla asks who he thinks the most dominant…
