The relationship between Ring Of Honor & New Japan Pro Wrestling is not as fractured as it might have seemed. Former IWGP Heavyweight & Intercontinental Champion Jay White is has been set to show up for their Supercard Of Honor event in early April during Wrestlemania weekend. There should also be more talent from New Japan Pro Wrestling appearing at the event, not just the Switchblade. His involvement with Ring Of Honor dates back to his time on excursion as a Young Lion for NJPW. He had a notably great match with Will Ospreay as part of that excursion, but that was the sole highlight.

Jay White Started 2020 Off Weak

Jay White started 2020 off as the IWGP Intercontinental Champion, and had plans to win the ‘Double Gold Dash’ at Wrestle Kingdom 14. He lost on Night One to Tetsuya Naito, which left him without a championship and out of the double championship match on Night Two. He would redeemed himself, when he defeated Kota Ibushi on Night Two to ensure it wasn’t him who would go winless on two nights of Tokyo Dome action. His win over Kota Ibushi should have put him back in the title hunt, but instead he passed that honor onto fellow Bullet Club member KENTA.

He will be appearing on the New Beginning Tour where he will face SANADA, who was able to defeat Jay White in a tag team match at New Years Dash, which also featured KENTA & Tetsuya Naito. That match will happen at New Beginning in Osaka on February 9 in Osaka-Jo Hall.

Other Members Of Bullet Club Should Join Along

Jay White is not one to travel alone, and he will likely bring more of Bullet Club along with him to the show. You know his corner-man Gedo will be with him, and possibly people like Bad Luck Fale & KENTA as well. It’s unclear what they will be doing on the show, but we could see them clash with Villain Enterprises in a major tag team matchup. Marty Scurll who leads Villain Enterprises is a former member of Bullet Club, so this could help build some drama for a heated matchup between factions.
