With everything going on in the world with COVID-19, companies like AEW & WWE are doing all that they can to help keep fans entertained. Without a crowd, AEW still managed to pull together a fantastic episode of Dynamite, and even taped a huge episode of AEW Dark. Over six matches we will see some top stars of AEW as well as some indie wrestlers getting a shot at the big leagues during a drought of work.
The Match Card For The Biggest AEW Dark Yet
With NWA Powerrr seemingly on hiatus after having to scrap the Crockett Cup and their next Power tapings, AEW will fill that gap with a longer episode of AEW Dark. Six matches were taped, including SCU vs. Shawn Spears & Robert Anthony, Corey Hollis & Mike Reed vs. Joey Janela & Sonny Kiss, The Nightmare Family (Dustin Rhodes & QT Marshall) vs. Matt Sells & Jon Cruz, Colt Cabana vs. Brandon Cutler, Suge D vs. Kip Sabian, and Jake Hagar vs. Joe Alonzo. This card is packed with AEW talent facing off with smaller name indie wrestlers, with the only exception being Cabana vs. Cutler.
Will We See Some Upsets?
While most of these new names will come in as unknowns to fans of AEW, this is just a chance to broaden horizons of those fans. There is a wealth of talent working hard to get noticed, and this is some of their biggest chances yet. They couldn’t impress fans at the venue, but they can do that for fans at home. While it could be easy to predict that AEW stars sweep, you can easily predict atleast one upset on the card. It could come in Shawn Spears tag team partner, or with Suge D getting the upset over Kip Sabian. There is just so much talent on this card, and fans will realize that upon watching.
