The AEW Champion is still Jon Moxley, after he wrestled a perfect match against Brian Cage last week at Fight For The Fallen. He knew the left arm of Cage was a weak spot, so he tore it apart. Moxley also knew that Taz wouldn’t let his client miss another six months of action, and would likely throw the towel in even if Cage wouldn’t quit.
This shows that he’s both a smart champion and the toughest man on the roster. Now this week on Dynamite, he’d get some time to address the AEW fans.
Jon Moxley Cuts A Masterful Promo
Jon Moxley didn’t send enough of a message to Brian Cage last week, so he’d go ahead and cut a promo on him as well.
“In a business where historically so many people are completely full of it, I pride myself on being real. I’m a what you see is what you get kinda guy, so if I tell you I’m gonna do something, I do it. Like when I told Taz ‘I’m going to rip Brian Cages arm in two’. Hats off to you Taz, you get my vote for manager of the year. Cuz when I had your boys arm locked up tight, I felt tendons and legiments snapping and cracking. You know that feeling? I love that feeling. Brian Cage was about this close to six months of rehab, sugery, wearing his arm in his sling, the good painkillers, the whole nine. While I am disspointed that I didn’t get that satisfying sound of Brian Cage’s bicep popping like a water balloon, you made the right call. Brian Cage, next time, I ain’t gonna let go.”
It’s clear that this feud isn’t over. Between Darby Allin coming back, and Ricky Starks aligning himself with Brian Cage and Taz? That’s a future Dynamite main event, and Cage vs. Moxley was damn good, few fans will argue about getting to see a rematch. When do you think Brian Cage will get another shot at the AEW Championship?
