It’s Wednesday again, and All Elite Wrestling are bringing another huge card to everyone free of charge. Last week was Night Two of Fyter Fest, but this week it’s Fight For The Fallen. Just a few days shy of the original Fight For The Fallen, we will see a night of huge matches. Here’s some of the biggest things to look forward too.
Jon Moxley Defends AEW Championship Against Brian Cage
This was intended to be the main event of Fyter Fest, but circumstances involving COVID-19 would prevent this from happening. Now with Moxley in the clear, and Brian Cage anxious to get his hands on his, we are going to see an absolute war over the AEW Championship. It will be Moxleys second defense, his first being another monster of a man in Brodie Lee. However, Cage is another beast entirely. We very well could see a title change tonight, but Moxley will not make it easy.
FTR Faces The Lucha Bros
Last week, FTR & The Young Bucks faced The Butcher, The Blade, & The Lucha Bros. It was an excellent 8 man tag match, and in the end FTR & The Young Bucks lost. This week, FTR gets a chance to redeem their first AEW loss when they face Lucha Bros in a simple tag team match. Lucha Bros have always been a target of FTR’s disdain, as they don’t follow traditional tag team rules. Will FTR teach Lucha Bros a lesson, or will their fast paced style been to much for the brawlers to handle?
Chris Jericho Has Something To Say
In the main event of Fyter Fest, Chris Jericho faced Orange Cassidy, who really tried this time. It was one of Jerichos best matches in years, and he won in the end with the Judas Effect back elbow. With OC behind him, ‘Le Champion will take the microphone with something to say. We could see him call out Cody for a TNT Championship match, or look for his rematch for the AEW Championship. Afterwards he intends to hop onto commentary, potentially giving him a great seat to scope out all possible contenders.
Also announced is Sonny Kiss facing Cody Rhodes for the TNT Championship, The Nightmare Sisters (Allie & Brandi Rhodes) in action, as well as The Elite taking on Jurassic Express.
