AEW Deadly Draw Tournament: Leva Bates & Rache Chanel (w/Peter Avalon) vs. Big Swole & Lil Swole

It’s Monday again, and time for the AEW Deadly Draw Tournament to continue! Last week, we saw The Nightmare Sisters defy the odds and enter as a tag team, defeating Mel & Penelope Ford to advance. We also would see Tay Conti & Anna Jay overcome Nyla Rose & Ariane Andrew to advance as well.

Now it’s time for more action. On one side we have ‘The Librarian’ Leva Bates & Rache Chanel facing off with Big Swole & Little Swole. Little Swole is actually Nicole Savoy, who makes her AEW return after being in the Battle Royale before All Out in 2019. Who would advance to the next round?

    Swole Family Dominates The Competition

The result of this match felt obvious from the start. Leva Bates has only a single win in AEW, a match which was carried by Nyla Rose, and Chanel is more or less a comedy jobber. Meanwhile, Big & Lil’ Swole have previous tag team experience, and Big Swole is one of the top names in AEW’s women’s division.

The match would start with Savoy & Chanel, with Savoy grabbing an easy armbar on Chanel. We’d see Chanel attempt to out wrestle the former Shimmer Champion, before being absolutely dominated on the mat. We’d see some joint manipulation and submission attempts, with Chanel having to scurry to the ropes to escape.

Leva Bates would tag herself in, which led to an argument between partners. This would almost allow for Savoy to pin Bates, but she’d get distracted and attack Chanel more on the outside. Being the eldest of the Swole Family, Big Swole would come and pluck Savoy up, and carry her away so this match could continue.

Big Swole Closes This Match Out

Big Swole would be tagged in, and she’d square off with Bates. Unshockingly, Swole would take control with a headlock, and would simply be way too much for Bates to handle. A dropkick would get a nearfall, before Savoy would be tagged in for some tag team offense.

Savoy would apply a Rings Of Saturn on Bates, but a distraction from Peter Avalon would see Chanel come in and attack Savoy with a comb. A huge saito suplex would drop Chanel hard, but a backstabber from Bates would take advantage of this. Following this was a nice Fisherman Suplex, showing more fight than expected in this match.

Quick tags in and out would isolate Savoy in their corner, as they would beat her down. They proved to be an effective team, but this wouldn’t last forever. Once Big Swole was able to get back into the match, the end was near.

Chanel would be nailed with a huge roundhouse kick, and Bates would be dropped with a spinning back fist. A blue thunder bomb would get a near fall on Chanel, but she’d be run through with a spear by Bates. Bates would tag in and look for something started with a double underhook, but would be countered. After being pinballed between the Swole Family, Bates would be hit with a low flatliner & neck snap to end the match.

It was great to see Nicole Savoy come back into AEW, and she’s off on the right foot with a win. Do you think The Swole Family will be able to make their way to the finals? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
