Due to the schedule of the NBA, AEW is getting bumped around timeslots, with them going to Saturday Night this week. With them going head to head with NXT Takeover XXX, they are presenting a stacked card without ruining their hand for All Out. Let’s look at the big announced matches!
Mr. Brodie Lee Looks To End Cody Rhodes
Since winning the championship at Double Or Nothing, Cody Rhodes has defended the TNT Championship at a frantic pace. He’s beaten the likes of Jake Hager, Eddie Kingston, Scorpio Sky, WARHORSE and more, but his biggest challenge comes tonight. Cody will come face to face with Mr. Brodie Lee, the leader of The Dark Order.
While he will say otherwise, Cody is beat down from his frantic schedule both in and out of the ring, while Brodie Lee is able to pick his spots very easily. He might have picked the perfect moment to strike, and with The Dark Order easily outnumbering the Nightmare Family? It could be time to see our second TNT Champion.
The Finals Of The Deadly Draw Tournament
While the women of AEW haven’t gotten much spotlight on Dynamite, they have been lighting up Monday nights on Youtube with the first women’s tag team tournament. The finals are set for tonight’s episode of Dynamite, as The Nightmare Sisters (Brandi Rhodes & Allie) take on the tough duo of Diamante & Iveliesse. Every match in this tournament has been very strong, with these two times among the best in the field. This should be a huge match that might push some storylines in place for all out.
Lots More Tag Team Action
As usual with AEW, this card is stacked with some great tag team contests. FTR will meet the high flying Private Party. The Elite (Kenny Omega & The Young Bucks) will face Dark Order members Five, John Silver & Alex Reynolds. Finally Jurassic Express members Jungle Boy & Luchasarus will team with Dustin Rhodes & QT Marshall to face The Butcher, The Blade, & The Lucha Bros. All these matches are sure to be chaotic.
Also announced is Darby Allin in action against an unnamed opponent, Orange Cassidy will get an in-ring interview, and we are likely to see some more build for Jon Moxley vs. MJF at All Out on September 5th.
