One of the many men who got their release from WWE back in April was Eric Young. His WWE run didn’t exactly set the world on fire, but he did win the NXT Tag Team Championship along the way. Now he’s back in Impact Wrestling, a promotion that feels like home for him.
However, Eric Young isn’t at a point of his career where he needs to wrestle for a living, he’s just in it for his love for the industry now.
Eric Young Is Smart With His Money
While on the Two Man Power Trip Of Wrestling Podcast, Eric Young would talk on being glad to be back in Impact Wrestling.
“The people that were there before us should be so proud and I thank them for that kind of effort in doing things that are hard and putting Impact in a position to hire people like me, Gallows and Anderson. I’m not going to speak for those guys.
I can only speak for myself, but I don’t need to work. I’ve been very smart. I’ve been a very smart person with my money. I live very humbly. I don’t need to be at Impact. I choose to be there. That’s where I want to be. That’s a powerful thing.”
Being able to simply work a job he loves while he does not having to worry about finances is a sign of a well lived life. He no doubt made a good amount of money during his low effort trip through WWE. However, this is a huge compliment to Impact Wrestling.
Impact Wrestling Is Where He Just Wants To Be
Like he said at the end of the quote, he’s choosing to be with Impact Wrestling right now. They’re a company that he wants to help boost, a company that is important to him. He spent 12 years with them, and will likely finish his wrestling career there.
Eric Young will likely win another Impact Heavyweight Championship, define some more outlandish characters, and just have a great time along the way. He’s got a lot left in his tank, because there is no better fuel than passion.
