While last year at All Out, Young Bucks were in a huge ladder match with The Lucha Bros, this year they’ve fallen down the card. Instead, they have a tag team exhibition match against the highly popular Jurassic Express. This match would come together after this week’s episode of Dynamite, when they’d win an eight man tag match against SCU and Private Party. Young Bucks weren’t the best partners in that match, so Jurassic Express might get some payback tonight.
Jungle Boy Gets Isolated
Jungle Boy would start this match with Nick Jackson, and a fast pace would be here. Both men hit impressive arm drags and leg sweeps, and action would be too fast to call. Jungle Boy hit a dropkick, and Matt would be tagged in, with Luchasaurus coming in early. A big kick dropped Matt, and a running Shooting Star Press would follow, Matt retreating to the outside.
Luchasarus would get him back in the ring, but Nick would be tagged in just in time to be hit with a flatliner by Jungle Boy. Nick would find himself isolated by the heavyweight, using his agility to misdirect him and get the tag. The Young Bucks would hit some signature offense, a double dropkick and a bulldog dropkick combo for a one count. Luchasarus would counter a pop up hurricanrana, and powerbomb brother into brother.
Jungle Boy would tag in, and take Nick out on the apron with a hurricanrana. He’d try for a DDT on Matt, but be hit with three northern lights suplex in the ring, but suplexed over the top rope, hit with another suplex and be thrown to the concrete. Marko Stunt would help him take his feet, ensuring this didn’t end in a countout. Jungle Boy would find himself isolated by one of the best teams in the world.
Young Bucks Are Relentless
After taking numerous tag team moves, Jungle Boy would find enough to try to make a tag, but a smart superkick from Nick would take Luchasaurus out, who’d mock Jungle Boy. Marko Stunt would trip him up, but Matt kept the attack on Jungle Boy in the ring. Luchasarus would finally be tagged in, and run through both Young Bucks with ease. He’s at his best late in a match, but he’d be cut down and kicked in the face.
They’d go for superkicks, he’d dodge and hit some kicks and chokeslam both men before hitting a standing moonsault press for a near fall. Matt & Luchasarus would trade shots in the middle of the ring, but a headbutt would have Matt out on his feet. Jungle Boy would jump off Luchasaurus to take out Nick, with the big man throwing Matt out next and diving onto both his opponents.
Jurassic Express would look for the finish, but Jungle Boy would be powerbombed on the apron and Luchasarus hit with a slingshot Canadian Destroyer. Matt would knock Marko Stunt out, pick Jungle Boy up and Nick would kick him off his brothers shoulders. An assisted Swanton Bomb would flatten Jungle Boy, who kicked out at two! They’d go for the BTE Trigger but Jungle Boy dodged. The Meltzer Driver would be attempted, but Luchasarus made the save! An Extinction Level Event would be hit, but the save would be made.
Something Has To Give
Luchasarus would look to end Nick Jackson, throwing him to the outside into the crowd before diving in himself. Back in the ring, Matt would hit a superkick to Jungle Boy for a two count. The Young Bucks would be reunited in the ring, hit a superkick party, but Jungle Boy survived again! A BTE trigger would be hit, and this would be the end.
This was a more vicious and cocky Young Bucks than AEW fans are used to. Is this the start of them looking to claim the tag championships? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
