WWE NXT UK Results: Pretty Deadly vs. The Hunt

The NXT UK tag team division is the best kept secret in WWE right now, arguably the best tag team division in WWE overall. Current champions are Gallus members Mark Coffey & Wolfgang, but they have a hard time ahead keeping the championships now that NXT UK is back in action.

Tonight, two teams look to step closer to a title shot, those being Pretty Deadly & The Hunt. Wild Boar & Primate are hard hitting brawlers, while Sam Stoker & Lewis Howley might be the most handsome team in NXT, but don’t count them out in the ring.

Pretty Deadly Control The Pace Of This Match

Wild Boar would start against Sam Stoker, with Boar getting a vicious headlock and an arm-lock early, but Stoker flipped out… only to be planted with a hip toss. Primate would be tagged in, and Lewis Howley came in but would be taken down the mat. Howley caught Primate with a knee to the gut, before taking a big hip toss and being floored with a back elbow.

The Hunt would work together to crush Howley with an assisted senton, and Wild Boar would trip up Howley, but Stoker helped his partner remain vertical. Stoker would yank Wild Boar into the rope before tagging into this match, as the momentum shifts to that of Pretty Deadly. A big back drop and some shots to the head would batter Wild Boar, and they’d start to isolate him away from Primate.

We’d see some textbook tag team wrestling with some extra flash, but Stoker would be powerbombed into the mat, but still managed to stop the tag in its tracks. Primate was getting primal on the apron, as his partner was beat down. Wild Boar would counter a crossbody, but be hit with a jumping elbow and be knocked right back down. Wild Boar would finally manage to break away from the corner of Pretty Deadly, and Primate could run free.

    Primate Makes A Bad Tag

Primate would immediately take the fight to both members of Pretty Deadly, nailing suplexes and big strikes galore. He’d springboard off the top rope with an elbow butt, and then make the choice to tag in Wild Boar for their double diving headbutt finish. Lewis Howley would stop this in its track before being taken out with a clothesline over the top rope, leaving Wild Boar in against Sam Stoker.

Wild Boar nailed the diving headbutt, but Stoker kicked out at two, while Primate would be ran into the barricade. Howley distracted the referee while Wild Boar got a visual pinfall, Wild Boar dashed into him sending him to the barricade, but a roll up from Stoker ended this one.

This gives Pretty Deadly a win, something very important as NXT UK gets started. After the match, Eddie Dennis would get in their ears, his intentions unlear. Will this manifest into a shot at the NXT UK Tag Team Championships? Let us know what you think in the comment section down below.
