Hello and welcome to WWE Smackdown Results!
Tonight should be a good once as there should be plenty of fresh storylines starting now that the Royal Rumble is over and the Road to WrestleMania has begun.
We’re also looking forward to Seth Rollins returning since he was in the Royal Rumble, but let’s get to the action.
The show started with a memorial to Butch Reed, who passed away today from heart complications following a reported two severe heart attacks in early 2021.
It was announced that this year’s Royal Rumble winners are in the building and Bianca Belair and Edge will talk about their win and plans later tonight.
With the introduction over, Roman Reigns came out to the ring with Jey Uso and Paul Heyman.
After a piped in chorus of “you suck!” Heyman handed Reigns the microphone.
He said he’s not big on the past and isn’t a fan of recapping, and if we didn’t see the Royal Rumble, he beat Kevin Owens like he said he would.
He turned his attention to the future, and the future is Edge. He then asked Heyman who the main event was around there, and Heyman told him he was.
Reigns needs a cookie
Reigns then got to his two issues.
The first was himself being the main event and asked why Edge wasted his time going to Raw and NXT, adding Edge should grovel at his feet and beg him to make him relevant.
His second issue was why he was out there first and where was Edge.
He added that Edge disrespected him all week long and he could let that slide, but to make Reigns wait on someone? Unforgivable.
Heyman told him Edge was there and Reigns told him to get him out there.
Heyman then called for entrance music and pyro for edge, but the technician gave him some disturbing news that he passed on to Reigns.
Apparently, Edge wasn’t there. Which means Edge must think he’s a fool, and he asked if he looks like a man that wants to wait and play games.
He shouted into the monitor asking why Edge would play games with him. He then said the last man that played games with him was Kevin Owens and he’s no longer there.
He said we’ll never see Owens again and he whupped his tail.
Reigns then told Edge “nicely” and that he needs to understand that this is his only chance and Edge will give him his decision by the end of the night.
He reiterated that Edge will give him his decision by the end of the night. WWE Smackdown Results can’t wait to see how this works out for Reigns.
