Right now in WWE, Drew McIntyre is set for another shot at Bobby Lashley at Wrestlemania: Backlash. He earned it in a triple threat match which also included Randy Orton & Braun Strowman, but until he gets rid of Mace & T-Bar, he will not be able to focus on Lashley. Mace & T-Bar are the latest men to work with MVP to benefit Lashley, and were able to notch a win over Braun Strowman & Drew McIntyre in tag team action.
It was a win by DQ, but when you’re ex-Retribution members? A win is a win. They will be facing them again this Monday. However, when T-Bar took to Twitter to call out McIntyre ahead of this match, he forgot who he was messing with.
T-Bar & Mace Were Just Looking To Build Up This Match…
T-Bar would simply be looking to hype up his promising tag team union with Mace, and promote the coming match when he would tweet the following. “Here’s a hard dose of reality. I’m 6’8 280 and so is he. We are world class athletes. We have been a TEAM and BROTHERS for years. You two goofs met last week during the commercial break. This Monday we take out Thomas the Tank Engine and 3MB for good.”
Mace also chimed in with a quick “Square go ya big daftys”. That alone was enough to add a touch of intrigue to this low stakes tag team rematch, but McIntyre brought it to a whole other level when he would reply with the following. He would simply remind T-Bar exactly who he is.
But Drew McIntyre Decided To Remind Them Who He Is
Not one to take being trashed lightly, Drew McIntyre shot back on Twitter like expected with the following response, where he went for the head. “You’ve had more name changes than titles. You were just another guy on the indies when I was the guy. You won nothing in NXT and I was the Champ, and you’ve proved nothing since. Your mate’s highest accolade is commentating on my matches. Prove yourself in-ring. Not on Twitter.”
It’s hard to deny the accomplishments of McIntyre alone heavily outweigh that of the team formerly known as Tower Of Power on NXT Live Events. They still have a lot to prove, and will have their chance to do just that on Monday Night RAW this week. Could this tag team match deliver come Monday?
