The Bunny & Penelope Ford have been a thorn in the side of Tay Conti & Anna Jay for weeks now. They’ve both taken Brass Kunckles to the jaw, and these attacks have started to mend the Dark Order – as they band around their fallen members. Tonight with Brodie Lee looking down upon them in his hometown, they will look to get revenge. Hardy Family Office lost to Dark Order earlier in the night, but TayJay has matching gear and a theme song now.
TayJay Go All The Way
Jay would go right to work on The Bunny, hitting a spinning back elbow in the corner before tagging Tay Conti into the match. Ford would come in and start throwing some heavy strikes. Conti missed a knee strike into the corner and stumbled outside, and Ford would hit a backstabber on Jay in the ring.
Jay was isolated in the corner of Ford & Bunny, before taking a back handspring elbow. A running elbow from The Bunny got a two count, and it might be lax covers that are keeping this match going. Jay hit a big DDT, and was able to complete the tag to Conti.
Conti nailed a crossbody, and before going ahead and tagging Jay, hedging outside and attacking Bunny. Ford hit a stunner and gutbuster for a two count, before missing the big moonsault. Dangerous J Kick and Queenslayer ended this one.
Lio Rush Is All Elite
Before this match started, Lio Rush would be announced as a member of the AEW roster. He showed up earlier this year as The Wildcard in a Casino Battle Royale, only lasting a short time in the match. Rush was set to retire after an injury scare, but healed up to finish his commitments to the NJPW roster.
Now, he’s back into the mix of professional wrestling across the board. He fits into the fast paced nature of AEW, and should bring some serious skill to AEW. Only showed up in a pre-taped promo tonight, but the news was confirmed by AEW on Twitter.
