Next Wednesday is the second anniversary of AEW Dynamite, and a huge match is in the works. We will see a Casino Ladder match, with the winner getting a shot at the AEW World Champion, Kenny Omega. Tonight on Rampage, all but the Wildcard will be revealed. AEW does incredible ladder matches, and an insane roster – but who will get this golden chance?
A Stacked Field For This Massive Match
We’d get four massive names announced earlier in the show. Former AEW World Champion Jon Moxley is in the mix, very dangerous with ladders. Lance Archer doesn’t even really need a ladder to win a match like this. PAC is one of the best high fliers in the world, and could soar like anyone else in the wrestling business. Andrade hasn’t been doing much to impress yet in AEW, but a great showing here could get the fans on his side.
However, the final two names would be: Orange Cassidy & Matt Hardy. This followed from the main event where Orange Cassidy got one over on Hardy by beating Jack Evans in a Hair vs. Hair match. This puts three feuds into the mix of a ladder match, with Moxley & Archer having issues, and PAC & Andrade having a score to settle.
Speculating Who The Wildcard Could Be – Hangman Page Likely
While this field is absolutely stacked, we still have that Wildcard entry. With Full Gear on the Horizon, this might be the time for AEW to finally bring Hangman Page back. He took time off just ahead of All Out, where fans hoped to see him beat Kenny Omega.
With a shot at the AEW World Heavyweight Championship in the cards for the winner, Page would be a perfect choice. It lets him avoid having to work his way up the rankings again after being sent to the bottom by The Elite, and fans are eager to have their favorite anxious millennial cowboy back in the mix.
