Following the recent release of the Grammy Awards nominees list, fans have since been surprised and on their toes as to why Adele‘s latest album–30 was not on the list. It is shocking to realize that Adele did not even get a nod for the award. So, the question is, “was Adele snubbed?”
Adele’s Album, 30
30, which is Adele’s fourth studio album, was released on the 19th of November, 2021. This album was inspired by her divorce from Simon Konecki. She also included details about motherhood and the life she lived as a famous person. The album was written between 2018-2021. The lead single of the album, “easy on me” was released on 15 October 2021 and has been described as “Adele’s truest song”
Why wasn’t she nominated then?
Adele’s single, and even the album did not meet the eligibility deadline which was September 30, 2021, for 2022 Grammy nominations. Voting to determine final nominees started on October 22, which was a month before the album, 30’s first introduction. Recently, Adele shared a recent interview with Zane Lowe, where she made it known that her record was not written for recognition, numbers, or even criticism.
She said, “I’m never going into the studio to be like, “Right, I need another hit. It is not like that for me. When something is more powerful and overwhelming than me, I like to go to a studio because it’s normally a basement, and there’s no f–king windows and no reception. So, no one can get ahold of me. So, I’m basically running away. And no one would’ve known I’d written that record. And it’s like maybe I just had to get it out of my system and stuff.”

For Adele, the making of the album was her building back her life and picking up pieces after her divorce from her ex-husband whom she had a nine-year-old son for, Angelo, “it was like it really helped me, this album, It really, really did was her statement.
