Republican Party politician Lauren Boebert’s attempts to criticise environmental activist Greta Thunberg have backfired.

Greta, for her part, has always been an outspoken advocate in favour of what she believes to be a climate crisis. Although she has taken it upon herself to tackle this cause, not everyone has been convinced by her.
And yet, that did not stop Greta from continuing to stand up for her beliefs. According to reports, Greta had decided to draw up some protestors outside the COP26 U.N. Climate Summit this week.
During this time, she demanded that global leaders should do more to put measures in place to address climate disasters. In the speech, she had stated: “We say no more ‘blah blah blah.’
“No more exploitation of people and nature, and the planet. No more exploitation. No more ‘blah blah blah,’ no more whatever the fuck they’re doing inside there.”
In response, Lauren took those comments and sought to use them against Greta. The former is passionate, but she is often criticised for failing to offer any kind of solution.
Therefore, her actions are sometimes portrayed as mere complaints. This is the angle that Lauren was aiming to question Greta on.
In a post on Twitter, she replied: “Tell me you have absolutely no idea why you’re protesting without telling me you have absolutely no idea what you’re protesting.”
The social media response was firmly against Lauren. Observers simply felt that she should be doing more than attacking a child. Instead, she could be using her position within the Republican party to come up with some initiatives.
In this way, she would then have a credible reason for going after Greta. One user wrote: “Republicans mocking children, again. Tell me you’re a worthless POS without telling me you’re a worthless POS. #laurenboebert.”
While another remarked: “The fact that she posted this thinking she did something here by bullying a child while simultaneously missing the message that Greta Thunberg was portraying. Embarrassing.”
