While news around Ring of Honor remains grim, their fans can still rely on fresh content through Final Battle – including this weekend’s episode of ROH TV. With Halloween having been last night and this episode airing on Sinclair broadcasting affiliates through their various channels – ROH got festive, with three huge matches. Quinn McKay teams with ROH World Women’s Champion Rok-C to face Max The Impaler & Miranda Alize, four randomly drawn teams battle in a Fatal Four Way, and Danhausen gathers his men to take on Shane Taylor Promotions.
Max The Impaler Tears Through The Competition
Kicking the action off was McKay & Rok-C against the daunting duo of Alize & Max. The plan was to never let Alize make the tag, but issues between Alize & Rok-C led to a brawl to start, with McKay having to keep things steady. Rok-C was kept down by Alize, but walked into a big powerslam from McKay. Max would be able to complete the tag, and just ran though both opponents.
McKay attempted a sleeper hold, but Max chokeslammed Rok-C and flung McKay onto her – before tagging back out, at the command of manager Amy Rose. Alize would quickly almost get rolled up, before Max tagged back in. They’d nail a double backdrop and massive Canadian backbreaker, and Alize snuck in to pin McKay for the win. Alize mouthed off to a frazzled Rok-C, and it’s clear a title match could be coming very soon.
Four Unique Teams Enter Four Corners Survival Match
Four teams were drawn, and the winners would get 10,000$ in a special Halloween Four Corners Survival match. Demonic Flamita & O’Shay Edwards, Silas Young & Rey Horus, World Famous CB & EC3, and Matt Taven & Flip Gordon. Unique teams, but good reason to get along with the big prize.
CB & Young started the match, with Young getting tied up in a submission, but he was able to fight out and floor CB with strikes. Horus & Flamita take the ring for some excellent lucha libre, with Flip Gordon (who thinks it’s 2018) would fly in and join the fray. EC3 doesn’t know what to make of this confused Flip, so just sends him outside and meets Matt Taven instead.
Edwards would tag himself in, and dominate Taven alongside Flamita. Things broke down and folks ended up outside, with Horus, Flamita & Flip flying onto the pile. Back in the ring, CB would take a 450 Splash from Rey Horus, and Silas Young stole the pinfall from his own partner to get the win.
Danhausen & Friends Try For Gold Against Shane Taylor Promotions
Main event time, as Danhausen, PCO & Sledge try to take the ROH World Six Man Tag Team Championships from Shane Taylor Promotions. Every day is Halloween for Danhausen, and he’d start off by trying to chokeslam Shane Taylor – and failing. Sledge would come into the match instead, and would drop Shane with a slingshot spear. PCO tagged in, but malfunctioned and attacked his own tag team partner in Sledge.
He’d be taken out by a missed dive to the outside, and more misfortune came to Sledge as Danhausen sacrificed him to Shane Taylor so he could hit a pump kick and hurricanrana. However, Moses & Kaun would catch him with the Implant DDT, and Shane Taylor closed things out with a massive Package Piledriver, claiming the 7th defense of these championships in the process.
