A TikTok video has gone viral after a user decided to remix Australian senator Jacqui Lambie‘s criticism of anti-vaxxers.

Jacqui, for her part, had been discussing the status of a new vaccine discrimination bill put forward by Pauline Hanson, which suggested that there should be a ban on imposing restrictions on people who were not vaccinated.
This was on the grounds that it would be discriminatory, as it would prevent them from accessing things such as accommodation and employment. In response, Jacqui wanted to let the whole world know exactly what she felt about this.
And with that, she felt that such an action was not discriminatory but rather the consequences of a decision to not get vaccinated.
In a statement at the time, she had said: “Being held accountable for your own actions isn’t called discrimination, it’s called being – you wouldn’t believe it – a goddamn bloody adult.”
Naturally, that raised a lot of eyebrows, given that people were concerned that it would impact the freedom to move around. Not only that, but it also had the danger of setting a precedent for other countries to follow.
Nevertheless, Jacqui doubled down on her beliefs. She added: “It’s putting others before yourself. That’s what this country is supposed to be about.
“We don’t have lockdowns and border restrictions because state premiers love discrimination. That’s rubbish.” Her comments were then taken and remixed into a song by TikTok user Candy Moore.
In the footage, we can see that there is a drum and bass track in the background. Jacqui is then heard shouting over it with the following words: “God-damn bloody adult.” The video instantly went viral with over 500,000 views.
The response on social media was mixed. While a lot of people agreed with what Jacqui had to say, others felt that this video showed just how out of touch she was with the people.
One person on Twitter wrote: “Very, very dumb comparison. I normally like your passion for things and desire to make a change. It makes you stick you from other pollies – but on this one, I think you’re wrong.”
